Much respect to coach Kassam and some of the biomechanics that he’s implemented into the bodybuilding realm, but I love Dr. Mike’s answer to the question regarding back training...sometimes feel that it’s trendy to over complicate lat training as of late, refreshing to hear Dr. Mike bring the discussion back to “where are you feeling the disruption/tension?”

I recently dieted down for 16 weeks. First time btw. Wanted to get as LEAN as possible. Got down to 212lb and I'm just under 6 foot. Increased calories for the last few weeks. I'm at 219lb now. Feeling amazing!!! Gradually increasing calories and now I'm at 3,300 calories a day. Loving the process. All of these videos with Mike and RPstrength have been a blessing!!!! Thank you!!!!

@@ReviveStronger Perhaps the hormonal side of things? Like how nutrition can impact females differently than males. For example, I’ve always heard that females require more fats in a diet but never know if that is scientifically backed up or not.

How does a deload work in the RP Diet App when in a deficit? There isn’t a deload option so if you change intensity to light for the workout it further reduces the calories from your current deficit. A deload option in the app would be a nice addition.

Dr Mike, using that logic: would it be rational to utilize a zig-zag method (Fred Hatfield) of caloric loading, to aim for minimum fat gain? Meaning, on days off, going from gaining to maintenance level of caloric intake. Perhaps it’s splitting too many hairs/too complex for a distinctive benefit.

deload while cutting, calories on maintenance. will maintenance be lower because you burn less calories due the less volume en weight beacuse you take a deload. maintenenca will be differend if you train as you normal do, if you are cutting and will do a deload then the calories for maintenence will be differend beacuse you burn les enery beacuse you do lesser sets en weights right. Maintenence will be based on your energy consumption and not on the calories that you normal would need for a deload. I would say it would be normal if you are cutting and want to do a deload that you dont go up to your normal calories for maintenence beacuse you do 50% of what you normal do in the gym. If you do les, you burn les energy so your calories for food in take for maintence will be lower. Its the enery that you burn what your maintence is based on right.
