Something I did and I love. Instead of listing out the bill date and price each month on a list; I have a BILL CALENDAR made out for the year. Flipping the page actually allows you to pay the bill and mark off paid IN ADVANCE. So in a few weeks when you get to the payment date... It's already paid! Less stress. What a relief!

Clothes… Just this morning, I decided to delve into the deep, dark depths of my closet instead of what is front and center. Result? I’m wearing a dress I didn’t even know I had. I don’t know where I got it, or how long I’ve had it, but at least it fits! Guess I’ll venture into that part of the closet more often. 🥴

I quit clipping coupons years ago when I realized that the majority of the products they issued coupons for were so bad for us nutritionally. Plus I could find lesser priced equivalents at Aldi that were just as good if not better. Agree completely on the spending too much time on frugal hacks too. Sometimes it boils down to doing a time study to see if you are saving money at all. Or is what you are doing really worth it? I made my own laundry soap for a while. It was not only time consuming, but I didn't care for it. Plus I think because we have hard water, it not only caused our drains to back up, but it wrecked my washing machine as well. SOOO not worth the time or effort.

I listen to frugal videos to help me stay focused and motivated on saving money and being smart with my finances. Entertaining? Sure. But even now, I have found EVEN MORE WAYS to save my money even after 27 years of being frugal.

I just watched a KZbin video by a woman who lives in a van with her dog. She spent the day door dashing to make some money. First she spent $30 on doggie daycare. Then she filled her tank so she could dash. Then she spent the entire day and only earned $100. She also paid for her lunch out and coffee. It’s a ripoff paying for door dash. It’s also a ripoff working for those slave wages.

Why on earth would you put your dog - who lives in the van with you so is perfectly used to it - in “daycare”?
@patsmith4940Ай бұрын
First, if the weather is too hot or too cold, it could sicken or even kill the dog. Second, vans are small compared to doggie daycare places, and dogs need freedom to move.

The grocery list! I kept forgetting mine, and then my brother reminded me to take a photo of it to keep on my phone in case I forgot it again. (I'm so dumb sometimes, heh) Me going grocery shopping without a list is never a good idea, so I make sure to remember it.

So many great tips!! And yes, I bought a fancy, detailed planner and I find it more complicated and involved so I went back to a simple spiral notebook for list making.

We put on the list only items that runout. Helps to not spend on food items that we don't need or already have plus keep us from overspending.

Shopping... sometimes splurging and creating a shopping list check out but never submitting payment will actually correct your impulse buying. And then even determine if you wanted the items in the first place

According to Financial guru today Suzie Orman November 3 2024 70% of The American population has less than $400.00 in the bank in other words 215 million Americans have issues with money. She was interviewed on CNN by Mike Wallace. Considering the cost of living and it's going up everyday people are stressed. Right now I would make maybe 3 suggestions for them to consider and that's it.

I’ve noticed that for me any time on the internet is draining to my energy so then I’m wasting my energy online and don’t have any reserves for doing things around the house 😑 🏋️♀️ I do have a gym membership that I use twice a week. However, I live 30 minutes away, I do almost an hour work out and driving back home is 2 hours of my morning!! But I also don’t need a 45 minute workout when a 25 minute HIIT works just as well. I workout at home too, so after the membership I won’t renew and just pick up those days at home. There are SO MANY good ones on KZbin 😆
