Hello Monique, I lived in a van for two years. Just one suggestion in relation to the toilet. I would put some wood shavings into the bag before using it. Throw 2-3 handfuls in & this will drastically reduce any odours from the toilet, and makes discarding the used toilet bag even stealthier, due to a massive reduction in odour. They can be purchased from most large supermarkets, and are usually used for small pets such as hamsters. You may find the pee funnel no longer needed too, since the wood shavings will absorb liquids, as well as reducing odour.

We was slaves in Egypt Christ prophesized we still are in bondage Deueteronmy 28:48 therefore thou shalt serve your enemies which the Lord has send against thee, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. Beautiful video full of great info. One tip - toilet, if u carry a bit of pine pellets (used for horse bedding, cat litter etc), neutralizes odor and absorbs liquids. Put a handful into your bag, and it wouldnt leak, as itll all be absorbed by pellets - thry turn into sawdust.

Wow, your meals look so delicious!! ~I only had a cooler so ice was always droning my food, and the time it took to cook and clean was consuming 2-3 hours a day. So I ended up doing OMAD and eating at a restaurant once a day at a nice restaurant. That freed up a ton of space and time. ~When I lived in my Jeep in SoCA, people knew it bec all of my windows were 100% covered up. I left the front side windows uncovered and I put up a black curtain between the front and back seat, so it hunt above my hips when I sat or slept. I put my 2 layers of 3 inch foam down in the passenger floorboard, so I perfectly reclined everso against the center seats, and with all my pillows it was a perfect place to sit and still he hidden, bec I was so low that people didn't realize I was inside. My blanket was black, so my legs were hidden. I was able to park in any Rich neighborhood I wanted, so the nightly hunt for a place to park was over because I was never harassed again.

Hi. New sub here. I had to google what a Buick Encore looks like and it looks almost like my 2021 Ford Ecosport that I've been living in since August. I'm having a heck of a time trying to live in it. I have to go to my storage unit every day where I have m my cole man set up to cook and make my morning my coffee, etc. I do have a moonroof but think it's just too dangerous to cook in a car. Every evening I make up my bed considering of a crib mattress and memory foam and every morning I am take it all apart and store it away into my storage unit. I find jamming a bed in this tiny car too cumbersome. How did you have your Buick set up to live in for 3 long years? I'm only doing this for 3 months and already I'm so sick of it. Thank you and thanks for your inspirational and educational car living videos.
@simmpleenough10 ай бұрын
Hello! Here is a car tour video showing the setup of my Buick Encore kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWa1gml4pdCoZ8k . It took a long time for me to figure out how to comfortably live in my car. 3 months is still very early in this lifestyle. Just keep trying new layouts in your car until you find something you like best. I redid the layout of my Buick about 4 or 5 times before finding something that worked for me. I'd move my fridge to different spots in the car, move my plastic storage bins to different areas, get rid of stuff; I did this alllll the time, lol. I was pretty frustrated the first several months (probably even the first year)of Car Life, but eventually it got easier. The frustrations you're going through right now are what many of us went through in the beginning. You'll figure it out 😊. If you have more questions just leave a separate comment. KZbin doesn't alert me when people reply to my response, so your question/comment might go unanswered unless you leave a completely new one. I'll gladly give you as much advice as I'm able. I hope my car tour video helps.

Yes, we drilled a hole through the floor and they are underneath the van. The exhaust pipe goes towards the back of the van, next to the muffler, and the air intake bends towards the front of the van, so it doesn't intake any exhaust fumes.

That is a lot of electrical stuff 😮. My van is a bit bigger than yours and I would not want to fit all of all those machines. Airfryer I would love to have, but I don’t have near the power for it. Gas boils water very fast, no need for a water boiler. I do have a Porta Potti, so great to have it.

Yea, it's a lot, but I love having my kitchen equipment! Sometimes, I don't feel like dealing with my gas stove, so I pull out the kettle. Some kind of toilet is definitely a must have for van life!

I like to see women make it. Standing tall and standing strong. Face it there is a difference from living and living well. Why pay hundreds of dollars to live and not have time to enjoy it.

Good afternoon and thanks so much for the awesome tips your giving. Everything you said is what I will need for my own van life. I finally understand how I can save money and own my own things and stop helping someone else get richer. All while seeing this beautiful country we live in. Every detail is so important because I didn't know one thing about Nomadic life, but I also wanted to include getting an off road app and a satellite phone for any emergencies or for whenever you go someplace off the beaten path. Safe Journey everyone. C.J

Great additions to the list. I hope to get a Garmin In Reach soon, it's just out of my budget at the moment. I'll look into off road apps this week. Thank you.
