GTO honestly surprised me. I’m not sure if this MR model has AWD like the US spec VR4’s but it held its own. As always, the Supra was just too heavy to be super competitive for Tsubaka. The Lancer EVO’s are also always hit or miss in whether they dominate or lag behind in these races. It would have been cool to see them fit the MR2 Turbo and NSX to challenge the RX7 but it would have been very chaotic.

GTO MR does not have AWS and active aero. its more light weight

And the thrust is high!! the engine is incredible!! how can it compete with others with such weight? and that, that the MR version is the lightest of all ... only the seats and doors weigh 400 pounds! If Mitsubishi had been concerned about reducing the weight in the chassis and correct the gear lever or make it much more agile ... GTO MR got the second fastest lap. How ? The car weighs 300kg-500kg more than some cars. Having new supra out and new z from Nissan, I wish Mitsubishi would revive the GTO.

Stock GTO beats stock GTR32 and 33 so many times. R34 = NSX > RX7FD = GTO > Supra > R33 > R32 > Z33
