Chris, Good luck with your newer channel. We older guys appreciate the education as well as the focus on technique...as we've often gotten off track with life or business, and getting back requires rebuilding the base before we do any heavy work. Sincerely, Frank

strait bar drag curls with a bar can't beat them

I don't disagree. They are all tools in the toolbox. I didn't get into loading parameters, just showing uncommon ways to tax the biceps in full ROM

The cable drag curls do work, also can twist do do few hammer

Close grip chins on a counter balanced pull up machine. 🔥

They do work the bicep, but if you do chins correctly the bicep should only be worked indirectly as you should be moving the humerous from the lats and not focused as much on elbow flexion. But since it has to happen, biceps will get some work. I suggest doing them all. I get tricep work too from bench press but I still do focused tricep work as well. Same concept

All these younger men wonder why their biceps aren't developed. It's those really short strokes that are messing them up? Maybe they'll grow out of it 1 day. I hope so. 😅 I can remember those days if I go way back. 😅 those are good movements. Cheers

There's definitely more that goes into growth like loading parameters, eating enough, training with high enough intensity, recovery...but yes, I wanted to show these to help others add to their exercise repertoire and understand the need to work the muscle in the entire ROM and especially in the lengthened position. You're right though, the younger guys just tend to bang out same style reps and have no idea of biomechanics, time under tension or the factors that really make all the difference! Thanks!

You supposed to get huge biceps with all these techniques you're teaching 😂😂😂.
@ck.Reprogrammed19 күн бұрын
@Johnny-wo7rc So the title of this is three bicep exercises you're probably not doing...it does't say anything about best exercises for hypertrophy. And I also never discussed loading parameters which is the real make it or break it for hypertrophy and strength. You can do the absolute best exercises but if you don't have proper loading, execution, recovery, nutrition, you still won't grow ideally. However, the science is clear, if you want to maximize hypertrophy, muscles should be taken through full ROM and especially taxed in their lengthened position. I have explained the full ROM of the biceps so people can add these into their arsenal. It's not comprehensive by any means. But I do do these with my athletes who are competing for Mr. Olympia this next season. So yes, done correctly, they do augment hypertrophy.

Neutral grip or hammer grip is not a bicep exercise... biceps have an attachment An Origin and an insertion... to develop biceps size you also need a mid-range exercise... you are using inferior variations... not for beginners.
@ck.Reprogrammed19 күн бұрын
If you watch the whole video you will see I speak on the differentiation between the biceps and bracioradialis muscles. However, even with a neutral grip that tends to help focus on the bracioradialis, you are still performing elbow flexion which automatically engages the biceps as well. So yes, they are also bicep exercises. And loading parameters will effect muscle size more than mid range exercises. Science has already shown us that most hypertrophy comes from training in the lengthened ROM. But again, loading is an even more important variable as you can still grow with partials. This wasn't a comprehensive video, just a quick way to add to peoples' exercise arsenal.

@stefanzbakielitu4629 You're funny. You must have some amazingly big mosquitos in your area. In this video I'm currently 30lbs down from my bodybuilding physique where I train with my Mr. Olympia athletes as I'm back to competing in JiuJitsu instead. But at 47 years old I would absolutely love to see a comparison to your physique so you can show us your level of competence. I'm always trying to learn from such experts as yourself! Thanks!
