We could have driven a car, but we decided to bike instead. Three friends go on a gravel riding adventure in NW Montana.

Miles spilling the T, "I don't want to take my phone off of airplane mode, so i'm not going to. I don't even know when i'm gonna turn it back on, probably when I need something from someone." Great video, keep it up!

Nothing better than riding bikes and fishing. I think lots of us knew this when we were kids but it's easy to forget it. Great video, thanks for posting!

This was done very well, also I love the use of older bikes and just making things work. Don't overcomplicate things, it's more about getting out there.

This was great! You see so many GD or some 1000+ mile bikepacking video's on YT, I think it can be alienating and scare a lot of people away from what its all about. Get out there with friends, It doesn't matter if its a 30 mile overnighter, a 130 mile 10K+ ele gain weekend trip or some month long expedition, its all about the people you're with and the adventure you have along the way!

This video was perfect. My son and I are planning a camping/fly fishing trip in that very area this summer. Unfortunately he is not into the bikepacking part of it. Our initial thought for basecamp was Red Meadow Lake, but then started thinking maybe Kintla in GNP. Your initial goal was Red Meadow Lake, should we go back to that plan? Love the idea of the high alpine lake and small campground. Thoughts?

What a great watch. I go to NW Montana once a year to fly-fish or bike but I have never done both! Side note: you are good at casting but if you kept the tip of your rod 10 inches higher right after you cast, you would hook a lot more of those strikes - not trying to be critical just want you to catch em :)

Thanks KJ! I was using a 7’ 4wt H2. I like fishing the rod but it has a tendency to break since it’s so fragile and small.

My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.

Thanks Rune! It’s a pack made by Tufa Climbing, a local company that makes packs out of old sails. Unfortunately I don’t think they are producing packs right now but you might be able to find one online.
