One helpful tip I've heard is when you're storing food where you need a paper towel in the container, put it on the top of the food, store the food upside down, and that way if you need to replace it you can without digging to the bottom! I do this all the time with berries and lettuce! So helpful!
@sarasunshine8834 жыл бұрын
My mom always did this too, and I do it now. Friends have asked me why I have salad bowls upside down. When I tell them, they're like 🤯, lol.

Salads with warm meat are my "jam." 🎶🎶 Add some roasted warm veggies, bacon, some warm bacon fat mixed with some balsamic is so delicious. Fresh squeezed.limes and lemons are good as well. Yum. I can totally relate the Dave's salad story. My husband would say where is the real food too. Food stories of cooking in the beginning of marriage are hilarious. We almost divorced over stuffed bell peppers. They were banned from our home for probably 15yrs. Lol. 😂😂😂😂 Thongs! LMAO!! 😂🤣

my mom used to make taco chili bowls when we were kids, she'd cook the meat just like that, but also add a drained can of rotel red onion and kidney beans to the meat and if we were really fancy she'd make tortilla strips. Leftovers usually went to make stuffed peppers with rice later on in the week. The memories ☺

How ironic. My husband is working from home now and my kids and I are feeding him lunch daily. The kids are homeschooled anyway but since he’s home, they’ve created a “restaurant” with coupons, checks, etc. He has to “pay” for his lunch and they do the math as a project and review. Today on the menu was taco salad. He loved it! :) We had tacos two days ago and today was leftover meat. It went well. They enjoy taking his order and practicing their serving skills. 💗 Liz, Vero Beach, Fl.

When you asked if we liked avocados, I was literally eating avocado toast for breakfast lol. My favorite way to do this lately is a multi-grain toast, smashed avocado on top, everything bagel seasoning, black pepper and red pepper flakes (sometimes), then either an egg over medium or a sliced hard boiled one on top of that. Throw more seasoning on top or even hot sauce if you want! It's absolutely delicious! Eat with some fruit and/or yogurt and you've got yourself an awesome meal!

My absolute favorite salad is steak salad- spinach, steak, fresh tomatoes, cheese, and croutons with ranch. Love love love it. I love the story. My dad would only allow a salad for dinner if there is a lot of meat for the salad and a bunch of cheese. He said a "chef salad". He had 4 oz of meat and 4 oz of cheese.... not so sure that was a salad still. I love it. Especially if it was fresh vegetables.

Hey Christine! You should definitely give avocado toast a try. It gets a bad rap for being a trendy meal but it's delicious. I just make it at home and it's such a satisfying breakfast. Please try it in one of your next videos, I would love to see your reaction! Here's my recommendation on how to make it: a nice sourdough slice toasted (or use your homemade bread) but the tang of the sourdough suits the flavors well, scoop and mush half an avocado, season it (I like salt, pepper, crushed red pep and sesame seeds but anything you like) and lastly top with either a fried egg with a runny yolk or chopped hard boiled egg. Enjoy with preferably a fork and knife. It's so creamy and something about the crispy toast and flavors of avocado and a runny egg is just heaven! 😋 You will love it, Christine! Don't miss out on the avo-toast any longer!

I ate tuna mixed with avocado in a whole wheat wrap with lettuce for weeks as it didn’t make me roll in pain and loose my lunch. Still eat it now ( almost a year later) and it is really good! Was meant to have my op in October but hospitals are a little busy in the UK due to ‘life’. So living on tuna or chicken with lettuce. Lest be said I have lost the baby weight 🤷🏻♀️😂 And before anyone asks he is a hunky chunky boy, he was fine and mummy is deemed a healthy weight.
