Hey Dave and Steve! I just bought and tried your Happy Hummus for dinner :) I love how dense and tasty it is. My only bug about it is the plastic film was quite stubborn to tear-off and in the end, we had to peel little bits of the plastic to get it completely off the container. I was just afraid of getting pieces of plastic in the beautiful hummus! Can't wait to try your basil pesto tomorrow evening and cook my lentil penne with it tomorrow with some pine nuts and basil! Can't wait to try more of your food. Love your KZbin channel :) xoxo

okay these all look great but omg your pasta. don't oil you water, guys! also neverrrrrrr rinse your pasta (unless it is 100% bean flour) and always toss pasta in sauce (with some pasta water) instead of sauce on top. love the falafel toaster idea!
@rinal13157 жыл бұрын
LTSmash414 why
@LTSmash4147 жыл бұрын
Nye - you want your pasta to have some starch, helps the sauce stick to it. Oil will either sit on the top of the water and be useless or prevent the starch from sticking. Same reason not to rinse/ save some water. You want the starch to help sauce stick to pasta.
@sofiadean19997 жыл бұрын

these recipes looks absolutely amazing one thing ive never understood is putting oil in boiling water to prevent the noodles from sticking. water and oil don't mix so the oil just floats in top so what's the point?

Zarah K from my Italian teachers it's only necessary when cooking fresh homemade spaghetti. Any other pasta the oil will have no affect coz as you said it floats on top. old wives tale I believe

Fuck sake the amount of haters on here. People need to get their heads out of their arses and not take everything so serious!! As a German I know that Sauerkraut is entirely different to Kimchi. Does that offend me? No. They made a mistake. They are just showing people quick and healthy ways to get dinner on the table. It's notging to do with authenticity. They never claimed to do an authentic Asian, German Italian Dish. I get when people get a bit upset about traditional recipes like the Italian's about their bolognese. But people have been putting their own interpretation of recipes out there for years. Get over it. People mix up names, people break pasta to make it cook faster, it happens. Aslong as someone doesn't claim to be making an authentic traditional recipe(which even varies depending which region of a country it's from ie. sauerkraut has many versions in Germany/Bolognese in Italy) I don't get the deal. A kind comment just to mention" hey guys, great video just as a side note in case you didn't realize kimchi and sauerkraut are actually different things because they use x and x ingredients etc. Thought it might help." would do the trick, there's no point in going at them like crazy. Are they really going to listen to hate? No. Kind suggestions and constructive criticism will get you way farther. Rant over. ✌❤

Beware that almost all Kim Chi uses fish. But if in Dublin I can verify that the Korean Restaurants, Kim Chi Hop House on Parnell Street (Old Shakespeare Pub at the corner of O'Connell Street) kimchihophouse.ie on Parnell Street and the Drunken Fish at at the Mayor Square Lucas Stop at IFSC drunkenfish.ie both always serve Kim Chi as Vegan using Orange Sauce instead of fish. They don't use tuna in Miso soup either but always ask to make sure. All will sell you take away too so Kim Chi stock up. I know they guys very well via the Korean Community in Ireland but it's always good to check and get the Veggie message out! STILL waiting on Happy Pear to come to Dublin!

Great quick ideas but you don't put oil in pasta water, it can make the pasta claggy and stop sauce from mixing with it. You need to use a big pan and lots of salt instead. The majority of the salt is removed during the cooking. To test, take out a piece and it should be al dente not totally soft. He said his brother was inside the Tamari that's hilarious like a vegan genie! I hope he didn't end up in the cooking ha ha! I wouldn't put falafel in my toaster, ooh no, he's a brave fearless man indeed!
