Amen, brother! Words do have meaning and for some perverse reason, we humans have a dangerous habit of adding to, deleting from or redefining words. See, the thing is, I believe the Scriptures and I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He bought me. Many years ago, it was for me kind of a , "yeah, yeah, I've heard all that". But then one night in February of 74, something happened that is difficult to put into words that others can relate to unless they have had something like that happen to them. My life has never been the same since that . . . encounter, I'd have to call it. Oh I never ran around yelling hallelujah! Or praise God! I didn't even attend church, at all. Had a Bible; dusted it when I stumbled onto it from time to time. But there has been a presence that has been with me over these last fifty years, and I have experienced and learned a hell of a lot. Religion is man's pathetic invention in an attempt to reach whatever he thinks God is or ought to be. What I have is an intimate, personal relationship. You and I simply do not have the intellect, or wisdom to figure all this out. We can dispute and debate for whatever few days remain to us; however, that seems a waste of precious time. I know about things people claim. We, if we are intellectually honest, may not believe everything we're told, but we should keep those things in an mental file marked "open", because we cannot know everything, and it is a capital mistake to have the mindset of an Archie Bunker who once said, "Sure, my mind is open until I know all the facts; then my mind's closed." Perhaps one day, you will have such an experience. You'll never forget it, and I suspect you honestly won't be anymore successful than I have been communicating it to an unbelieving world. The change in my case has been slow, or so I think, but the events and the evidence keeps piling up. I would say good luck, but there is no such thing, so I'll just say, May God bless you!

It might by an interesting defense tactic in a murder case to put forth the argument that the perpetrator was only performing a post natal abortion. Kent didn't go into the chemistry of living things much perhaps because he thinks it is too complex for the average person to grasp, but living things use only one of the two stereo-isomers of the sugars and amino-acids that would be formed by random chemical processes, and even tiny amounts of the opposite, "wrong" isomer is toxic to living things. That is like humans deciding to use right-handed threads almost exclusively, since having just the one isomer of the amino-acids allows enzymes and other proteinaceous macromolecules to be designed and fabricated so that living things could be designed and fabricated. Very similarly, using only the d-sugars makes it possible to design enzymes which work on sugars to allow metabolism as we know it. Again, an obvious decision was made to use just d-sugars by the Designer.

3/3. Kent didn't mention how important information is, either, which was rather disappointing, but he already had such good evidence to support Creation and the Flood that it's understandable. Dr. Werner Gitt published "In the Beginning was Information" to explain information from the perspective of an expert in Information Science, including how it has to come from a mind. He also demonstrated mathematically that the information storage system used by living things, with just two pairs of complimentary nucleotides arranged in three-nucleotide codons is the most efficient means possible by which to store and utilize enough information to fabricate proteins, one of the important functions of DNA. Anyone seeking the truth should read and appreciate Dr. Gitt's book.

One of the strongest arguments was that “earth is only 6,000 years old” the pyramids themselves date some 10,000 years ago. His argument of evolution is also dumbfounded. He only expresses the adaptations of a few thousand years, while macro evolution is measured over millions of years, we still got another 900,000 years before we see any major evolutionary changes. It means a change in behaviour and has absolutely nothing to do with Evolution. Evolution is GENETIC. Where the DNA of the next generation contains mutations compared to the previous, thus making each individual unique. There also is no "micro" vs "macro" evolution in science, that's a creationist excuse. In reality, even a single generation, even you compared to your parents, is evolution, and everything after that is the exact same process repeated many times.

What's wrong with that? The gist is to begin by reading books and then go on to figure it out for yourselves. I think it's pretty obvious just by looking around that the earth is ancient. No way the hard rocks at the bottom of the Grand Canyon formed in a few months at the bottom of a big flood such that when the water receded it was solid rock of the form we see eroded. Sand and soil that settle to the bottom of lakes/oceans don't form rock that hard that quickly. You can see what sand/silt/soil looks like that hasn't had millions of years to harden in cliffs along the Chesapeake Bay and Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick. Those formations of semi-solid packed soil/sand is what the Grand Canyon WOULD look like if it formed like Kent says...during a flood. THAT is what is meant by figuring it out for one's self.

Well look at the ~340 scientific papers in the references section of "evolution" on Wikipedia. There's not a lot of overlap there: no single scientist "authority" saying what's right. Citing all independent observations of reality to build my case isn't "bandwagon fallacy". It's just the best measure of reality we currently have, and it shows evolution happens. Even just at a logical level, if anything (A) replicates, (B) mutates, and (C) experiences some form of natural selection, then it experiences evolution. Otherwise how could videos like "mari/o" exist where someone used evolution to cause an artificial intelligence to start out completely random and then due to evolution alone it evolves to race through Super Mario levels faster than most humans. And I'm not talking specifically about the video, because yeah stuff like that can be faked. I'm talking about _the underlying logic of it:_ * organisms have genes that determine their attributes/behavior * those genes aren't perfectly copied, so variations emerge as a result (mutation) * the organisms need to "eat" to survive to procreate, and so how can they do that if the copying errors cause them to die at childbirth? They can't, so those genes are constantly eliminated from the pool. * by comparison, some mutations are good and will improve an organism's ability to eat and procreate, and those will be copied more often than the default ("perfect copy") population will, and over time will dominate the population. Just at a purely logical level, evolution checks out. So then the ~340 scientific papers where we've observed _overwhelming evidence proving it happens_ is just icing on the cake really (but I like to start with the icing, don't you?)

This debate is hilarious 😂 The evolutionists did not actually answer any questions from the creationist. Also, there were loads of actual quotes from science textbooks from the creationist. The evolutionists did not quote any science textbooks or journals - the one guy just said "I trust them and you can too".
