I have this. I had ACDF surgery and Dtrax surgery in 2021. In 2022, all the pain came back. Been to see multiple doctors. The latest Dr. Has told me either I go through pain management or injections. OR they will not help me. I have had a Dr, tell me the narrowing below and above my hardware, is not that bad. Almost 2 yrs of this. IT has turned my life upside down. My independence has been taken from me. Because of all this.

Sorry to hear you've suffered so much. Was it just the neck pain that came back, or arm numbness/weakness as well? Local neck pain isn't that uncommon after surgery, but if you're still having nerve symptoms, make sure your doctors are aware. Good luck!

@@More4Life It's my arms and legs now. And also my feet. I have seen a foot doctor tell me my feet issues have to do with my neck. I have told every doctor I have come in contact with. But they won't listen to me. April 5th 2024, will be exactly 2 yrs I have been dealing with this. The latest Dr has even said I have bone spurs in multiple levels. And they have admitted C7 is bulging. But like I said above, unless I am willing to do through pain management ( which means meds) or injections. They are not willing to help me. And let me suffer. I have weakness in my arms as well. And my tremors have gotten a lot worse. The tremors are not coming from my head. They has been checked as well.

@@buddysmom819 if it's the legs and feet too, that's usually due more to central canal spinal stenosis / cervical myelopathy. I can't say for sure if that's your problem, but here's a video to give you some more information about it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3a0iZ-Qi5p3mrs If they're saying the levels above and below the fusion don't look too bad, it sounds like they're talking about foraminal stenosis, which is also explained in that video.

I had x-rays late last year that showed cerv ddd. I went in because I was getting numbness and headaches when I put pressure on the back of my neck while sleeping. When I try to straighten my posture and bring my head back, I can feel the numbness in my neck traveling up to my head.

Often bringing the head back narrows the spaces where the nerves come out. Here's a posture correction technique that may work better for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6mWhICunLqEpLs

@@More4Life Thanks! Also, is there a way to safely build the chest through weights with cerv ddd? I read somewhere that bench press is bad for the neck, and I shouldn't be lifting over my head. Is that true?

@@PapagenoMF it's rarely a question of "IF" an exercise is safe but rather "HOW" to do it safely and "HOW MUCH" you can do safely. Using proper technique and only using weights that you can safely and comfortably manage are important. Every case is different and you'll have to consult with a healthcare provider in your area to find out what is best for you. Neck operations are helpful for some, but they should be reserved as a last resort when other conservative measures have failed as any surgery has risks.

Is DDD is curable?
@More4Life
@More4Life 2 ай бұрын
It depends on what you mean by curable. The discs don't normally regain height, but it quite possible to have DDD and not have any pain.

Just got diagnosed with this at 31 with facet arthritis in the hospital. Are they sure its arthritis and is this really lifelong? 😢
@More4Life
@More4Life 2 ай бұрын
I couldn't tell you for sure having not seen the images, but if arthritis shows on the x-rays or MRIs, it's likely there. Arthritis doesn't tend to "go away" on the images, but the pain more than likely can go away with the proper treatment.

@@More4Life the reading on the finding did say "mild". Is it possible the pain can go away for good if I treat it accordingly? That would be awesome

I can't tell you specifically what to do, but have you seen a physical therapist yet? Neck issues are a big factor in TMJ. Here's a video with TMJ exercises that may help, but definitely get things checked out in person. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHfMoGafbaqdd5Y Note: If you're getting numbness and tingling in your face as well, that's more of a serious issue to go to the hospital about immediately.

Im 18,and foud out i have lost some fluid in my discs,due to excessive training with bad form.Is there a way for it to heal on its own???
@More4Life

At 18, it's likely that you'll be able to recover from it. The quicker you fix your training technique/form though, the less likely it is to have long-term consequences down the road.
