Thank you, I was directed here from another video of yours so now I have a few more ideas to alleviate some pain. The bending over while sitting 🪑 definitely helped, flexor stretches for the front (unsure why that works) gives me some needed relief, I know I’m sitting too much! On an X-ray my lowest vertebrae is visibly losing bone mass in addition to the reasons for losing height. I’ll try to relate this to my GP for a referral to a PT. I have a clearer understanding now, thank you very much!

I have arthritis throughout my entire spine, either bone on bone, or nearly so. When you have bad arthritis, some of these exercises you figure out yourself. I don't have much radiation, but I'm very worried about that. If I can remember to exercise maybe that will help prevent radiculopathy.
@More4Life Жыл бұрын
You're right, a lot of people do figure these out on their own through trial and error of what makes them feel better. Staying consistent is the hard part. Good luck!

when you are in this situation you need to rebuild your spine remember the disc is like a sponge what it needs are liquids and to decompress the spine. The discs of the vertebra has nothing to do with age as this individual explains in the video. what you need is to rebuild your spine and revitalize your discs. the discs are made of fibro collagen and to repair the discs you also need glucosamine chondroitin and a decompression spinal belt so the fluids enter the discs very quickly and are revitalized. I am PhD from Palmer College of Chiropractic, PhD Nutrition specialist. nothing is lost only if you give up.

just got diagnosed with DDD in my T5 and its pinching the nerve down into my arm....so you covered the lower back and neck...what about the mid back?
@More4Life4 ай бұрын
There's something called "T4 syndrome" that can cause arm symptoms due to the sympathetic nervous system around the T4 level. I don't have a video on it, but here's an article. www.physio-pedia.com/T4_Syndrome Degenerative discs don't always cause symptoms though, so if someone presented with those symptoms, I'd still suspect a neck problem or thoracic outlet syndrome before T4 syndrome. I can't say what the cause is in your case though having not evaluated the problem. These videos may give you some more ideas: Pinched nerve in neck: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mni5oXmBm6-mhMk Shoulder pain radiating down arm: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJzRmGmmqs2Sps0 Thoracic outlet syndrome: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pn6clH2HeZypmbc

@More4Life7 ай бұрын
There's no exact number. Many people sit the majority of their day. Ideally, getting up and moving around once an hour when sitting is a good idea, but if you're on a car trip or plane flight that's not always feasible.

@More4Life Жыл бұрын
It's an individual choice, but success rates are around 50%, so it really is a coin toss. If it's just back pain, surgery is usually not the best choice. If there are leg symptoms and walking problems, it depends how bad they are as to if it's worth the cost and the risk of not getting better or getting worse. It's usually best to exhaust your conservative options first. Good luck!

I have two bulging discs. One is thinner than usual and has some fissures. I was told by a chronic pain doc surgery might help my sciatic pain but would probably make my back pain way worse. A neurosurgeon and ortho spine doc both said I don’t need surgery. It took me six months after the last time I threw my back out to start feeling better…not to be better but to start feeling better. I couldn’t sit or bend over for six months. I still have sciatica that comes and goes…feels like a bee sting over and over again but no weakness. Back is sore but can still work. I do PT and take pain meds when I need it. I wouldn’t get surgery unless it’s a last resort. Life will probably never be the same but I’m managing the best I can. Lots of people get worse after surgery.
