The sugar alternatives upset my digestion big time. Even the sorbitol that is naturally in dried fruits & veg are a problem for me. As for rice: stored in fridge overnight turns some of the starch into resistant starch which acts like fibre in your guts

That's why I quit white rice. Diabetes rates in Asian countries are nearly as bad as the US. Rice worked well to survive famines, but it should be treated like dessert in the modern era.

@@henrytang2203 Likely this is stupid but I have had dogs since I was a kid and every one has died of old age without any arthritis. The only thing I ever fed them was kibble in the amount the bag instructed for their weight. Also they all worked and were thin. Maybe there is something to what nutritionists say when their advice is followed over a lifetime.

If you're diabetic and suffer from low blood sugar spikes you absolutely SHOULD keep fruit juice in your fridge. If you drink a small amount during those low spikes it can help bring it up. And I'm talking a small amount, like think three shots worth. Both of my parents are diabetic and this is advice given to them by their doctor. It has saved my mom on many occasions

Anyome who is actually interested in learning what you should do for long term diabetes prevention or reversing check put the Rich roll podcast on mastering diabetes. The two guest are both trained in nutritional biochemistry and they ACTUALLY know what you can do to better your health and get rid of type 2. The above video sums up what doctors learn in their 10hours of nutrition training during their education. Absolutely useless information as this only helps with lowering blood sugar in the short term. Insuling sensitivity will not improve and you will be tied to medication and or insulin for the rest of your life. Please do some research before believing these common suggestions by physicians with fuck all nutrition training.

It's actually better to juice vegetables like celery, kale and spinach rather than fruit though cucumbers which people consider vegetables are actually fruits are in the same family as melons; aren't bad if you juice it because they don't have as much sugar. You just want to stay away from sweet stuff when juicing.

Have rice instead of pasta and stop drinking concentrated juice . Youll be fine. Diabetics are not diabetic because of rice consumption. Sweet food addictions, sodas, alcohol, and sugar are usually the culprit. Basmati rice is a good alternative if you are really concerned. Lets be honest anyone with type 2 diabetes has it and its obvious why 🍰🍪🍩🍭🧁🍫
