@@Dragon_rls I know, I'm trying to be nice. This has the potential to be a recipe for disaster, but he might very well pull it off. God knows my journey was risky, but i had faith. Honestly, I think his biggest problem is the assumption that hes just going to be able to remote work in the Philippines. Not without Starlink. The girl is probably OK. She seems the type who would be appreciative of having a boyfriend. A lot of girls over there are lonely. Him? Well he better be prepared to be committed and I hope it works out. But I dont know him and I can't judge him. I hope he brings her home, and I hope she wants to come with. The Philippines isnt as glamorous as a lot of people make it out to be and a lot of times it's a cost of living decision with large amounts of overly positive thinking in order to justify the decision.

Your Filipina will be on the same team as you and you both will work together, as a team, vs the issue. Even if the issue is something between the two of you. She will also be modest and capable of self-reflection and admitting fault. She likely grew up poor by our standards and didn't watch lots of modern Disney Princess movies where Princess Fiona is not only smarter, better and more organized than Shrek but is somehow clearly better at everything including being physically stronger as well. My Filipina handles disagreements with maturity, respect, empathy, care and good communication and this is very different than what I'm used to here in the West. I didn't say she wasn't emotional, but the feeling of being on the same team, even when the issue is us, is a game changer.

I know so many Filipinos in the states and they become westernized or their attitudes and views change especially if they become a citizen of USA. They won't return as the same type of person or may even be divorced as i just saw my girlfriend's neighbor who lives in Chicago some back to Duma for Fiesta and xmas visit and she got divorced this last year; and now monkey branched over to a new man (former Miss Dumaguete so she is a pretty lady).. P.S. her new man has no intention of moving to the Philippines ever

I wish this couple the very best. Hope you are able to get a video of them. They could not have found a better guide than you to discuss the pros and cons of finding out if they are really matched for each other. The main thing for them is keep their raging hormones under control and be serious about using birth control measures. Remember, making a baby is the fun part, but sharing in the responsibility of taking care of the baby is possibly the difficult part of the relationship and can add an inordinate amount of stress. Time will tell how this works out. As a side note to your house project, I think you mentioned cutting down some coconut trees. Supposedly, before that can happen, you are required to purchase a permit from the Philippine Coconut Association. Failure to do so will result in a fine. If you are having neighbor problems. they might turn you in just to pour more salt on an open wound. Just saying. The very best of everything in getting this situation settled without any more serious problems. You must be almost at the point of saying,"If it wasn't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all.". Take good care. Thanks for sharing your trials and tribulations in property buying and house building in the Philippines, Paul. Maybe you could write a book, publish it and sell it to recuperate some of your losses. I believe, if you can write it in the same manner you tell it, you may have a potential best seller, my friend. You appear to have a talent you haven't tapped into yet. Don't sell yourself short. Anyway, that's my thoughts on it. 😊 B😮B

I’m Andrew. I absolutely agree with Paul about what I’m personally drawn to Filipinas about (if that makes sense). Also Filipinas generally aren’t turned off that I’m a virgin and am saving my virginity to give my future wife after marriage. I’m a Christian and will turn 43 later this month (December 2024). Many western women see that as a massive red flag. Though I like it when women wear nylon pantyhose (some people call these stockings or tights) with their outfits. It’s just a massive turn on for me.

While I was there I mostly seen younger guys with Filipinas there at the malls. Seems like it’s going to be harder for older expats there. They can just go online and meet someone younger with a similar culture. As for me, sending money home isn’t a big deal and it’s quite common in Mexican American culture, what are parents used to do with their parents back home.

In a way,Mexicans are kind of like a little bigger Filipinos. Mexicans are part native American Indian and part Spanish. Filipinos are like part Chinese and part Spanish. For the most part anyway. Filipinos retained their languages, but Mexicans lost their native American language. Although there are a few tribes deep in the jungle in central and south America that the Spanish never found, they speak their native language, not Spanish.

Okay, Paul, you have to be fair here. I am 77 and I have an ex-friend, older than I am, who went to the Philippines for the same reason as so many of your viewers do and that is to get away from the culture of western women. He is a retired school teacher and he has always liked REALLY young women. He could literally charm the panties off them. The issue is, when he has had enough, he gets very abusive verbally. He is quite wealthy because he is extremely cheap. If a woman will want a bathing suit he will buy a cheap one for her but if she dares to ask for another that is when he will fly apart on her. My point is, this young lady is so sweet and innocent and the ladies like her need to know there are men who can hurt them. I wish her and Pedro the best.

Mother of my four kids and a wonderful wife and mother she was. She was Irish as am I. There are good and bad in all different cultures. I have been lucky enough to find love again, yes she is filipina but more than that she is the person I love. It's not a one size fits all statement that west is bad and east is good. Once again I watch your videos because they give some very good advice on life in the Philippines and will continue to do so

If it was my sister I would vet this guy to make sure he doesn't red flag for a B-Cluster Personality ( the narcissist ). Make sure he tells his history with relationships and all about his inner psychology. I have 25 years of work in Psychiatric / behavioural and I know behavioural science. LEARN the red flags for narcissism like love bombing, control, manipulation, gaslighting a super ego etc. I'm retired but maybe I should sell my services / REMEMBER that it's not just what people say ....men and woman....{ BEHAVIOUR IS A LANGUAGE .} 6 /100 people are toxic so be ready to discard. I like that she wants a WIN / Win negotiation relationship which my wife and I have had since 1979.

Hi Paul. I'm sure I'm gonna catch a lot of flack on this. But not all ladies here are slender. Not here and not in Thailand. Of course definition of slender varies but I am confronted with an onslaught of definitely not slender people each and every day. So in my opinion the Philippines is just like any other place in the world. It has lovely slender ladies and of course ladies that are none of that. Just like in the west. To sum up... You will need more than 1000 usd to live on in southeast asia and not everyone is slender. My goodness.

I'm actually quite surprised he has no knowledge of the history of New Spain (Mexico) and Las Islas Filipinas. Hopefully he won't claim to have culture shock. Unless he lives in a cosmopolitan city in Mexico and does not venture outside that environment. Otherwise, he will see that culturally; Mexico and the Philippines have quite a few things in common.
