The Landrover accident is indeed very fishy. The case should have gone to court for public scrutiny to allow the relatives to challenge the circumstances of the deaths of their children. A verdict of unlawful killing or similar which would have initiated a court case should have been made at the inquest. It will now not be known if the plaintiff was telling the truth or not. I guess the identity of the driver is a secret as well. This is a complete failure of the legal system. It would be interesting to get Kid Starmer’s take on the case.

The name of the driver is in all of the recent media. It was her first epileptic fit as reported and I expect (hope) she is no longer driving. @angelmessenger. That’s exactly what happened to a friend of mine last year. He was driving along in an 30mph urban area when suddenly he couldn’t lift his foot from the accelerator, in fact he was pressing it further down. He took out 3 cars and crashed into a tree, his foot still hard on the accelerator. The front wheels were lifted from the ground continuing to spin whilst the engine was running hard. The emergency services cut him out and took him to hospital. The whole time he was conscious and had no idea what was happening. It turns out that he’d had a stroke induced by a brain tumour. Three cars plus his own were totalled. One man suffered an injury to his wrist, but thankfully there were no serious casualties. My friend had brain surgery and is now on a very long schedule of treatment. Hopefully he’ll have a good outcome and live for many years to come. Scary stuff!

If the driver of that Land Rover lost consciousness at the wheel for *any* medical condition then either they did not know they had the condition up to that point, in which case this is a tragic accident and should not be troubling the justice system, or they did know and had carried on driving anyway, which is a prosecution for causing death by dangerous driving. That should take all of half an hour for the police to establish one way or the other from medical records, or failing that, a couple of weeks getting a fresh medical opinion and interviewing people who know the driver. The fact that it has taken a year to establish suggests that either our justice system has become *very* inefficient, or that there’s rather more to this.

The gutter press in this country would also be hounding her like hell right now, but that's not happening.. the smoking gun is that passenger airbag that went off, modern cars won't trigger airbags if there is no occupant sat in that particular seat, so who was the 2nd occupant? Why has is taken so long to conclude the reason?? I've always felt that some very important person was driving this car. Mind you, these days especially, a driver can become incapacitated by a heart attack or stroke and it’s nobody’s fault. Drivers momentarily falling asleep is incredibly common and I do think that’s the drivers fault. If you know you’re vulnerable to that, I expect you would keep away from fast, boring roads, because that’s when it’ll happen.

The Land Rover one really stinks - sure they're tanks but if you see the overhead of the area in question, there's no way the driver wasn't speeding far in excess of what a reasonable person would be doing on that road, to have gone as far as it did. Two approach options - there's an approx 300m straight road from a car park, or a tiny village one that opens from a narrow single carriageway and past a busy pub, only a nutter would be doing more than 20 on the latter. The car went through a metal barrier, a fence, across the school yard and into the side of the building. How fast do you think it was going....? Honestly I suspected a 'lets see how fast it goes' incident from the start.

Sorry Geoff. Remember that 2 children died and if it took the authorities 12 months to report the driver had a seizure .. with NO previous medical issues that weren't reported the DVLA ... No conspiracy here.

My neighbour bought a second hand 19 reg Jaguar I pace for £29000 5 months ago. On Autotrader, it is losing more than £1000 per month and that is retail, not trade in. Seems like very good value ?

If you have the money now you can pay an expert doctor to give evidence for any condition. We had one similar. A guy in a beamer ploughed into a bus stop killing a young girl. After many years of waiting it was decided by a doctor he had 'temporary amnesia/blackout'. 😮 he wasnt charged with any offence.

Jay Slater, only two things could have happened to him, Geoff said the first, the second, he was involved in a machete attack on a rival gang member, him and his mates got community service, he also owed lot of money. Tenerife has a lot of British criminals living there, he could have been picked by them for either of the two things, or both, they unalived him, they then disposed of his body. Only time will tell, if he is/body is ever found. That is my take on what has happened to him.
