Let's not forget that mental health and the stress response mind to body is actually the beginning of kicking this whole thing off. Resentments, regrets, anger, self pity, victim trips, etc....start there first and see the body change. The food choices and all other things I believe are symptoms of the mental/emotional and belief systems most of the time. The reason some people bounce rather than sink is they have Jesus in their lives. I have been through so many traumas and if I were to look at them I would sink. Instead I look at Jesus and know I am not alone, I then have strength to carry on and a reason for my sufferings …..to join them to Jesus’s sufferings and offer them for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. He then heals me and each trauma is a lesson. The reason I add this is that food is Gods pharmacy, but it’s not the whole story❤ You need faith in the one true God as well !!!

(Harry here) I'm dealing with a bad hip and I know that inflammation is causing most of the pain. I'm familiar with a lot of the information you've talked about in this video and I'm going to try and turn it up a bit to see if it might help with a little relief until they can get in there and fix itr. I'm not real happy about how the hospitals are not letting your loved ones to come into the hospital and be with you during stays. I was hoping to hold off on doing the operation in hopes of the restrictions being relaxed. I can't see going into the hospital alone and dealing with this alone. We all need our families for recuperation. I was wondering what other people's thoughts are on the current situation and dealing with loved ones in hospitals. If I could control more of the inflammation, I believe I could hold off a bit longer but sometimes the pain is just to much.

Hey there, I'm just a health junky with no personal experience with hip pain but had beginning arthritis and edema in ankles. I can assure you that ELIMINATING SUGARS and STARCHES and ALCOHOL will eliminate inflammation. You'll start to see results very quickly but it takes a little bit more time to overcome insulin resistance which is actually the source of the problem. After a year I feel like a new person, fresh and energetic and NO PAIN. It's like I can feel my veins are clean now :) Now if I cheat for a day, instantly the next morning the puffiness is back. Get clean again, puffiness is gone. So I would just suggest that you not "turn it up a bit" but rather - go FULL STEAM AHEAD with a commitment to do everything Dr. Hyman tells you to do (and my favorite Keto experts Dr Eric Berg and Dr. Sten Ekberg). Also - there are physical therapists and chiropractors on youtube who have published videos on surgery being the LAST RESORT. They prescribe specific movements to promote healing along with diet changes. (My favorites are Dr. John Bergman and Bob&Brad Physical Therapists - "6 big lies about hip pain". Use your own power to reverse the situation - you can do it if, every minute of every day, you just CHOOSE a proper diet over pain and traumatic surgery! Best wishes for a strong 2022 !! :)

Beautifully laid out so we can all listen to our own body, and help ourselves to recover from some of the symptoms we suffer from. Thank you so much. A lot to learn from.

My take away was how we need tests to understand the causes of the inflammation, especially the silent killers. I have family who often say I don't need tests or devices to measure "I just listen to my body", but Hyman emphasized causes are uncovered by diagnostics, checking additional blood biomarkers, sleep study for apnea, tests for heavy metals, etc.

Because nobody changes their behavior just because someone barks out a couple of facts. they need to understand in order to change what they believe, to then in turn change how they behave. Get it?

I had an MRI for my back and there was a side note that I had fatty liver. I am mystified! I have celiac disease so no wheat, rye, barley. I never drink alcohol. I never take sugar. I never drink juice. I never eat processed food. I’m a whole food plant based eater with some occasional salmon or grass fed beef. I typically have steel cut oats for breakfast and I add blueberries, 2 tablespoons of whole fat plain yogurt and a splash of A2 milk. How could I have fatty liver? ❤ I suspect it is the carbs I eat? I love rice (only brown basmati) and potatoes and corn tortillas as bread substitutes. My favorite snack food is Lundberg Thin Stackers made of two ingredients, brown rice and a little salt.i add peanut butter or butter. I

I have fatty liver as well. I have celiac disease and leaky gut. I don’t have grains ,sugar,alcohol or caffeine. I do have 2 pieces of fruit a day, 6 cups of veggies, half a cup of nuts, 2 serves of protein and coconut milk and water. Not sure how I got the fatty liver!! Im thinking I might have to do a liver detox

This is an amazing podcast/interview, wow. Such thoughtful questions and helpful answers! I have Psoriatic Arthritis. The psoriasis is on my elbows and knees, scalp and my achilles heel and bursa has been inflamed for 2 years. Doctors just want me to take these harmful drugs and I'm thinking the answer is strict diet. It's just so hard to develop the discipline and I need to put faith in eating healthy and non processed foods.

@AnnTsungMD Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! While intermittent fasting and a clean diet can certainly have health benefits, it's important to note that they may not be a one-size-fits-all solution for everyone's health problems. Intermittent fasting has been shown to have potential benefits for weight management, blood sugar control, and inflammation reduction, among other things. However, it may not be appropriate or effective for everyone, particularly those with certain medical conditions or who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
