My goodness this is on point. I have been married for 43 years today. Still desire some of these things. Just want to be seen and not just told how much I am appreciated but shown in some small way.

This is a well done talk. Indeed a man has to learn his woman. A woman feels love when her man listens intently when she talks to him. Also, a husband's admiration and praise nourish a woman's spirit.

Yes ! This is very true . The way man views his wife and verbalize it to her it influences her greatly . That’s like a wheel which is energizing her . If he feeds insecurities she will Feel fear and unsure , battles in head, if he feeds the stuff said above she will be energized , feel protected and blooming like a flower . 🌸 This is very important for a woman ! I think more than man is realizing!

I can't remember the last time my husband had a conversation with me without checking his Facebook every couple minutes. What you said about making her feel appreciated is spot on. I just want to feel more important than his social media.

See if he’s open to picking a time twice a week where you put the phones in bowl or something and just connect for 15 min. Nothing huge just a quick check in. Each share your high and low for the day or download some questions for couples off the internet, and each pick 2 to answer or whatever will help facilitate conversation so it isn’t awkward. Maybe this can help you move in the right direction

We did counseling but he didn't like it and after a few sessions he refused to continue. I have suggested a different counselor but he wasn't open to it. I came to Christ about 10 years into our relationship and I have found a deep peace and love in Him. My husband is walking his own path right now. I don't know what God's plan is for us but I trust Him. I pray that God will restore our marriage.

Spot on. Thanks for finally voicing what I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to express to my hubs for years. Especially the romance part. I get so frustrated when our pastors suggest bringing flowers. Ugh! Then the attitude that comes with the flowers seems like, "There. I was romantic, so now I get some sex, right?" I would much rather feel like my husband loves me and accepts me for who I am. Forget the thoughtless little tokens that can be picked up at the grocery store on the way home from work, and just spend a little time enjoying each other, sharing with each other, getting to know one another. That would mean so much to me!

You have no idea how much you hit the nail on the head. I'm trying to stop crying simply because I hurt really deep right now. I'm tryin to shake it to be strong. Steady love is what I crave the most. One that allows me to let go and be the best Dani I can be. I feel her coming out as I heal but my husband has a way of verbally and emotionally pushing her down. You are so right about your spouse being able to bring out the best in you.. and sometimes the worst. I need a break from all hurtful people and things. Thank you for all that you said. Seems like he tries to hurts me emotionally when I pregnant and really need his support. I have to focus on the human growing inside and my mental health.

I absolutely love this! I am quilty of being the QUEEN of the silent treatment. Only because we can't reach an understanding when we communicate. But during this recent difference we had, he said something very hurtful that he knew would hurt. So hence the silence. But then 5 days later, he apologizes. But he did something I wasn't expecting. He showed me 3 reels from this woman who said wives submit to your husbands and respect him. Not adding submit to your husband's as he has to submit to God. She even said if your husband is wrong, don't tell him. You'll do more harm to his ego and he'll in essence feel less than a man. I mean, I almost lost my mind! (Silently) I never thought he felt this way and that he pretty much wanted me to dumb myself down rather being a help mate. I love how you mentioned that the world challenges women everyday and our husband's can refill our cup. I know men go through these challenges too! Sometimes more! This video is sooo refreshing. It calmed me in my thinking. I like that you mention that we evolve and that we have to continue learning each other! I love my husband but I know we can be better to each other. But he bet not ever show me a video from that woman again in LIFE! Thank you (married 25 years)

Seems on track to me. My husband and I always laugh at the examples pastors normally give about women in explaining to men about how to deal with us. We laugh because almost none of them match me. I don't crave affection (much), I'm not emotional, and I hate to shop. This message is on point because it's true regardless of the type of woman you're dealing with.

I loved it when you said what i find to be common sense, which is to UNDERSTAND. We are to complement each other, so we need to be different, we need to know AND understand those differences so we can both understand each other more deeply and widely... to see God's hand in how He created us to complement each other and not to compete or fight each other ❤ It made me giggle to see the list of things women need from their husbands... if guys want simplicity... there is SOME to be applied 🤣🤣 we are appreciative of small simple things daily... and we were created to multiply what the man gives us... i believe that is why God created man first... women are strong and yet tender and soft... tenderness and affection cannot be faked, that is a powerful combination. I am forwarding this video 🤭😉 hehehe Thank you, always love and appreciate the simplicity you have explaining deeply important things... you are right when you said we make relationships more complex than they need be or been created to be. The Bible verse is most powerful indeed!! To understand we need to make time and listen and respond (not react) and ask questions... both doing this will make them grow individully and as a team!! How great is that?! 😊

@@RelationShots Looking forward to three things our husbands need from us!! Eric, I'm going to guess that one of the three will be RESPECT, as mentioned in the Bible. Perhaps you can touch on "how" wives are to respect our husbands when their behaviors are not respectable? Over 20 years of marriage and it has been full of lies, deception, adultery, neglect, etc. My husband is in counseling to deal with his narcissism and disregard for me, and I do my best to encourage him. But to actually respect him when he is openly lusting after other women, preferring to pleasure himself rather than engage in physical intimacy with me, is close to impossible. Respecting him when he behaves this way makes me feel like I am lying to myself. I hope you can address this when you give us wives the three things our husbands need. Thanks for all you do!
@RelationShots
@RelationShots 2 жыл бұрын
@@lauricer9155 That whole scenario you are describing is a bit tough to address in a quick video. That dynamic becomes more about setting healthy boundaries for yourself that force the other person to take responsibility for their behavior and deciding how you choose to engage or disengage from the relationship based on how they respond to boundaries
@lauricer9155
@lauricer9155 2 жыл бұрын
@@RelationShots Thank you. I understand. Trying to explain how to respect a husband when his behavior is not respectable is difficult - not a topic for a quick video. I just wish I knew what that could look like. I've been asking for years, seems nobody can answer that. Bless you, brother. I appreciate your ministry.
@RelationShots
@RelationShots 2 жыл бұрын
@@lauricer9155 I would say that respect is earned and honor is given. Meaning you’re not going to respect someone who displays disrespectful behavior, is selfish, does things to hurt you and damage the relationship. That is not practical. You can still honor him which means you don’t talk disparaging about him to others, you don’t curse, yell or talk disrespectfully to him. When it comes to your responsibilities to him in the marriage and the expectations of what you “should or shouldn’t” be doing for him and with him, I think that is a longer and more specific discussion about healthy boundaries for your particular situation. I’ve done some videos on boundaries that could provide some context for that. If a husband is being unfaithful, dishonest, etc…they shouldn’t continue to receive marriage privileges and benefits that would be normal for a marriage where there is fidelity and honesty. Whether that is sex, support, dinner or whatever the boundary that needs to be set. Again, I think this sort of discussion is a few counseling sessions rather than a quick thread, but hopefully gives some clarity on my thoughts around respecting someone who isn’t behaving respectfully
