Good tips Kevin. My one bonus tip is to put your goggles away in their case or bag when you’re done and they’re dry. In the past, my lenses have gotten so scratched up just from them moving around in my gear bag or car without any protection on them. 👍

Good tips Kevin thanks bro. I use poly-chromatic goggles so the lens gets lighter or darker depending on the conditions which change every 15 minutes in Scotland. They cover from cat 1 to cat 3 tint so I don't need to carry spare lenses.

Buyer beware re: the M4s. I purchased the Anon M3s a couple years ago, and I love them. Have had no issues with fogging, fit or durability. My wife needed a new set last year, and I bought her the M4s with the spherical lenses. I tried them out on a couple cold snowy powder days when I went on a trip with some buddies, and had lots of fog and icing issues. This was not limited to me -- my friend who also purchased a pair had the same issue. He got so frustrated one day he went and bought a new set of Smiths, and had no further issues. I'm not sure what the issue is -- could it be the cylindrical fit of the M3s fit my face just a little better than the spherical shape of the M4s? I'm not going to invest in cylindrical lenses of the M4s, because I'd rather just pay for a new set of goggles (and these are my wife's pair anyway, and she typically doesn't like to storm ski). I'd be curious for a review from Kevin after some heavy use.

Something to add onto this, is that if you have a low nose bridge, some manufacturers such as Oakley and Smith make 'Asia Fit' goggles, which essentially has extra padding on the nose bridge to seal the goggles to your face. Very trivial difference, but its literally the difference between being able to see or not.

I been running with Oakley A Frame 2.0 for a few years but finally bought a larger set. Can't wait to receive the Oakley Flight Deck after finding them for a killer deal. Also bought the Rose and Clear lens as well. My biggest thing with googles, it must have an option of Clear lens. I prefer night riding more than day riding.

Well, love the magnetic FMI and ease to change the lens. But definitely M4 doesn’t have the same peripheral vision has te Oakley Flight deck... if Oakley would make some magnetic system to change the lenses, they would take all the game with ease.
@parkergabhart9585 жыл бұрын
I was looking at some flight deck goggles. The magnetic lenses would be nice, but where I am located conditions dont change all that much. So I might only have to change my lense once a day once it gets darker out. That being said, you like the flightdecks? They seem to have a lot of peripheral and I like the look of them. Doesnt the flightdeck only come with one lense though?

If you want pure pov, and good ventilation. Go with either Dragon dx3's or oakley line miners. These have the best field of view, and have legit 360 ventilation, on my dx3s u can feel the air moving inside them, they legit never fog unless u get mad amounts of snow in the foam or something. Line miners are the same basically but like twice the price and you cant customize or remove the straps, i dont think line miners have butteryfly straps they look like they just go into the plastic of the frame, and come in 3 sizes that makes it kinda confusing and kinda wack because, the cool thing about having framed googles is u can get the huge field of vision POV, without having a huge goggle because they wrap around the side of ur head really well. Most magnetic goggles and newer type goggles make up or try to make up for this by being really big.

The wind in your eyes while you’re riding is brutal without goggles, they’ll also protect from snow spraying into your eyes, also filter out sunlight depending on the lens(some are like sunglasses, others help you see better in the dark)
@aleavelia86063 жыл бұрын
also it is very bad for your eyes if you are in the snow without any protection for your eyes worst case: you become snowblind which is quite painful as I've hear so I really really recommend to you to wear goggles :)

Most of the highly rated $30-$60 goggles on Amazon will do exactly what this $300 goggle will do. They often use the same magnet system, you can order cheap spare lenses, and they don't fog. I've always used them and have no idea why somebody would drop $300 for a goggle. The only difference you will see is usually a more vision impairing frame is used in cheaper goggles.

they all suck cause tunnel vision : exception Flight Deck : reason : foam is thin at nose ; while with all others theres way to much space between nose and Glass ; hence it makes you feel like you are in a tunnel . No good --- Oakley Flight Deck the One who actually gives you freedom in yo vision ! Anons make u feel like you are in a huge Tunnel , no like . I was actually very shocked by the very bad performance in the Vision of Anon , smith and dragon - huuuge tunnel compared to Flight Decks ; )
