I read it as "improve, you jerk". Best advice ever.

I find raising my elbows while I dip is super helpful to get the bar to launch off and not go forward. Tip I got from my brother who was a 6 time national school age champ

@SquatUniversity3 жыл бұрын
I don't do any cleans or jerks with straps - no.

The wife sent this to me. She'd clicked on it originally thinking it was a video to help with a better husband.

what should the position of the hips and legs be in the catch?
@smolboyi3 жыл бұрын
There are videos on this but both legs should be bent, back leg only slightly, they should be equidistant from start position, approximately same width as squat form. This is for split jerk of course

no hookgrip?

Hey what about his wrist position in the catch????
@SquatUniversity3 жыл бұрын
Ideally an extended wrist is a position of stability.
@Alejandro-te2nt3 жыл бұрын
@@SquatUniversity by extended do you mean straight?
@mcculloughmethod69122 жыл бұрын
@@Alejandro-te2nt no. don’t keep it totally straight or totally bent back but bent back at about 10 degrees
@pbj5521 Жыл бұрын
@@Alejandro-te2ntwrist bent back. Think about your wrist position in the front rack.
