@@emmasmith4536 I feel your pain. This happened to me at the end of June 2020. I had my first attack in the house out of the blue. After that, I was so scared of having another one that I often panicked myself into another one. I stopped eating, I wasn't sleeping because I'd sit up all night scared of another attack happening. In the end the only way to stop them is to stop fearing them (which I know is easier said than done). I know that they are terrifying, but they cannot harm you no matter how bad your symptoms from one are. Just try to stay calm and breathe until it passes. I wish I could help you. The problem I have with panic attacks is that they make me forget. The only thing I can think about in the situation, is that I'm fucked.
@xo.torchy3 жыл бұрын
I have a panic attack disorder/OCD. The OCD started when I was very young, (about 7 years old) and the panic attacks started when I was about 18. (I’m 21 now.) I remember my first panic attack being breathing related. I was focusing to much on how I was breathing, and it started to feel as though I was breathing manually instead of instinctually. Suddenly my mind made me believe I was going to stop breathing, so it went into panic mode. I COULDNT BREATH. I started rocking myself, and trying everything in my power to ignore this feeling. (Note to self: never ignore panic symptoms, address them) NOTHING HELPED. At the time I didn’t know anything about panic attacks, so I thought I was having some serious health problem. I felt extremely dizzy, and sick to my stomach. The room was spinning, and my fingers and feet cramped up and went numb. It felt like I wasn’t in control of my body, or anything around me. How could I forget the heart flutters in my chest? Felt like someone kept knocking on my chest like it was made of wood. Finally I grounded myself with the help of my family, and some water. OH, a fan blowing on me also really helped. After 3 years of dealing with this anxiety, I’m STILL scared of encountering another one of those panic attacks. The thought of it happening in public terrifies me. It got to the point where I couldn’t eat anymore. I was scared of things in food that could cause heart attacks or any health problem, so I started starving myself! You know how hard it is to find foods with little to no sugar?? NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. I went from 155lbs, down to 118lbs in 3 months. It was not good for me at all. Basically, I was lying to myself. I kept telling myself “it’s gotta be the caffeine, or the sugar.. maybe if I cut it all out I’ll be okay!” Nope. I was wrong. Less sugar and caffeine definitely helps, but I don’t recommend completely cutting it cold turkey. Anyways, 3 years down the road I still experience anxiety, after trying everything. I’ve tried therapy, medication, breathing techniques, and so much more. I can’t wait for the day where I find that thing that does help and I can be free from worry. I wish you all luck on this journey, you’re not alone.

Panic attacks Beit anxiety attacks, your throat feels like you can no longer swollow, body & hands tighten up. My attack lasted 45mins long. I was nauseous afterwards & exhausted. Since then, I have educated myself through research to identify the trigger & really focus on my body needs. Breathing helped me alot & holding onto my knees, meditation move. It helped me. To this day, it helps versus medications. It's not easy but we endure. Good luck!!!

4:43 that computer ping made me jump with a little nervousness and anxiety. I thought it was ironic while watching this video about coping with anxiety (I was able to calm down a bit, and saw the humor). My anxiety was already through the roof, but that particular nervousness started due to when something bad had happened in my life. Ever since, I started to resent hearing texts and phones ringing. Don't talk about a knock on the door. Full blown anxiety attack, mix with a little of anger/annoyance. Just thought I'd share. lol

I was fine all day, enjoying my day, then my friend left, everyone within my family went to sleep, my arm started to get sore, even at some points, numb, my veins started to jump out, worse thing I done was google what that could indicate, and instantly I overwhelmed myself that the problem I was going threw was what google said, then I was getting abnormal discomfort (not so much pain) on the left side of my chest, almost believing in my head I was having a heart attack, or blood clot, I began so feel sick, but was not physically throwing up, once it started to calm, I got a tight jaw, that moved up my face, which increased worry, after a while, that stoped, and the arm tingling and chest discomfort came back, my attack in particular tonight, has kept me up all night, when going to the hospital after being mentally exhausted, was told it was anxiety, and have been told it has been anxiety every single time I have went to get checked, sometimes anxiety comes on with even having a worry, or in the middle of playing a game, I really do hope things improve in the future, and I feel the main reason of fighting this comment is to show and express that anxiety can cause a physical pain, and that it’s no secret can make you get angry and emotional, as I have found myself getting frustrated not being able to control my own body, sleep, sometimes even eat incase of fear of chocking, use are not alone, and I know I’m not alone, but something within myself self at the back of my head fails to realise it, however when tomorrow morning comes, everyone is awake, I get the chance to speak to someone, my symptoms are gone, unfortunately however, my day is destroyed as I’m so tired, exhausted, even moody to those I love due to no sleep, not eating correctly as I would sleep during the day to catch up on a long night of hurt and worry. Stay strong and hopefully some of use can relate.

I was really scared maybe.. I started getting chills.. my heartbeats got faster and sweating.. whole of my body was shivering. I almost felt like m dying.. then we called up for ambulance. It got even worst. Doctor said I was normal.. I'm just stressed and I was like.. seriously? Y would I'd be there at emergency department. I was literally shocked how doctors prescribed me few medicines..while my bp was normal.. no fever..n said at this age 20-30 we have several cases of stress attacks. And now from 2 days m practicing being positive cause I know I myself can cure this as it's harmless.. no other options though..so can everybody else .. Blessings ❣️!

I go through an experience but my body and mind doesn’t feel it fully till two weeks later. And then anxiety and stress hits me hard. Well in September 2019 i even went to the cardiologist got all the work done and all perfect. It was anxiety/ stress and my dr said mediate. And that’s what I am going to do now. these moments we are living along with regular stress is not easy but we will make it. We have to.

I’m just so tired of constantly worrying and trying to predict what will happen next. I’m positive I got my severe anxiety from my mom because she’s an alcoholic and bipolar. I’m always trying to predict her mood and hoping she doesn’t drink that day. When I wake up I think about my mom’s mood and when I go to sleep I think about how her mood will be tomorrow. Hey all, one of the best things that helps me when having a panic attack is distraction. I have always tried doing breathing techniques, but unfortunately I eventually end up hyperventilating making it worse. One of the best things that has helped me is to phone a friend if possible. I have always had my panic attacks at nighttime so it is hard to get help from others, but if you have a friend that is willing to distract you at 2am I find that it can really help. When that is not available I actually go and try to watch something calming to distract myself like this video, and interacting with the comments. Hope this helps!

Anxiety is ery scary no matter who you are. My first attack occurred when I smoked weed, at first I was OK but then I felt like my body was disappearing and I was losing my mind then I panicked had 2 panic attacks in less than half hour After that day it took me about a week and my anxiety started, to be honest I didn't even know what was anxiety, I started getting, cold /hot flashes, chest pain, hard time breathing, tightness on my neck, chest, stomach, diarrhea, blurry vision, weird metallic smell, nightmares, hard time sleeping, even though I am so tired and my eyes were closing soon I close my eyes they opened right back up because I thought I won't ever wake up and then somehow I use to fall a sleep for short period of time, even then I use to get panic attacks in my sleep, very bizarre dreams thing I can't even imagine, headache, unnatural hunger, weakness, sometimes I use to feel like my half side is gone even when I touch I couldn't feel it, became so sensitive to mostly everything around me, didn't leave my room for months. The problem for me was that my first doctor gave xenax, and some other medication that didn't work on me, like xenax only helped me with racing heart, and other medication made me a zombie I swear I could not even have thought about what will have next day or even next moment So after 3 months I changed my doctor and he said stop taking those medications and I will give you Celexa Oh my God!! After 1 week I was back to normal it felt like I never even had anxiety and life was so much better, it did wonders for me. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE OR CHANGE OR MEDICATIONS EVEN IF YOU HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS ME OR THE MEDS ARE NOT WORKING FOR YOU.. ASK YOUR DOCTOR, I ONLY SHARED MY STORY. Then after 2 years I started to stop taking it, my anxiety is still there but now I am controlling it much better I am still able to do what I want, just when I feel anxiety I need to take some time out and control it and it goes away

Nancy Miranda I only get anxiety when I get my heart broken I just recently got my heart broken by a girl I didn’t even want to fall in love with but she convinced me I could let my guard down and be myself so I ended up loving her and she left for someone else so my anxiety never been this bad I get shortness of breath and feel like my heart is going to fail literally. Go see a doctor to see if it’s a medical condition first if not it’s mental then it’s literally mind over matter from there I don’t have any medical conditions it’s just been real hard in my head I find meditation or mindfulness helps meditate or talk to someone keep educating yourself and you’ll get there we all in the same boat

It could be because of what’s happening in the world right now ! I recommend not watching news or social media because the only thing you’ll see things about the virus . It could be because of quarantine, you have more time to yourself so find something to get your mind of it. Maybe journaling, work out, painting, or yoga.. that’s should . Just know that everything is going to be okay, also read the Bible and listen to Christian music

@@jenniferpuga1204 thank you, i believe it is probably because my brain is freaking my body out i went to the doctors and he said it was anxiety and im congested in my nose i got tested again for covid19 and im negative again , i deleted my facebook app because yea all you see on there is bad stuff i think the one that really got my anxiety to get this bad was a post about the lockdown lasting till 2022 :( but ive been doing these things to keep me calm and somewhat happy thank you ! I still think my breathing feels weird but hopefully it goes away :/ it just kind of hurts sometimes :(

I'm only recently getting my panic attacks and it's just so demoralizing when I go into my games because I'm one of the best players on my team and my teammates rely on me as a point guard however recently when I think about breathing patterns I start to panic as the game goes on becoming more and more slow as well as fearful and I've already been subbed out multiple times because I just can't keep playing. Thx for reading this far and also thank you to the lady in this video as she helped me a lot
