Honestly, I’ve been doing so much research and video watching while dealing with my panic attacks, and I just started crying. This is exactly what I’ve been dealing with, and I’ve felt like such a loser for going from a solo traveling badass musician to someone who can’t go 2 miles away from my house without a panic attack, but this just makes me feel so much less alone. Thank you.

I have been doing the same! I used to be so carefree, never questioned a thing I did, and life was great. Now I’m the biggest anxious worrier ever. I live my life but I go from feeling so normal and then out of nowhere the anxiety hits or a panic attack starts happening. I hate it. Hope the best for you! This video made me feel so much better too.

Le_La my heart breaks to hear that because that’s exactly where I’ve been... like literally, in that same exact spot. It’s awful and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. If you want some good news, recently my anxiety has seemingly randomly lifted at least enough to let me go back to some basic things like driving locally (if I need to). Right when I thought there was no end in sight, randomly I made some progress, which is what I’ve heard from so many other people too. So keep your head up, you aren’t alone in this battle, and if you stay in the fight long enough you will win someday, and I’m cheering for you 👏

You just described me to a T. Panic attack as a child, doctors said I was fine. Got it again after smoking MJ. I am 31, still suffering, finally seeing a therapist. Diagnosed with OCD, PTSD and Panic Disorder. I pray this gets better. Every day I wake up thinking “is today the day?” Or “will I snap today and be condemned to a mental hospital for the rest of my life?” I struggle to go to work and even walk into a grocery store. I pray therapy helps me, this is hell on earth. Some days I am good, but some days.... I pray everyone who suffers from mental illnesses are able to heal, feel peace and live a joyful life full of happiness, love and comfort.

I often don't hear people mention the "I feel like I'm insane or going insane" aspect of panic disorder, I often think that maybe I really am crazy because no one else is mentioning that. So it's very comforting to hear other people struggle with the thoughts of possible insanity. I'm really sorry that it happens to you, i wouldn't wish it on anyone but it's comforting at the same time to know I'm not alone.

I know I’m basically copying the other reply to this comment but man is it a blessing to be able to know I’m not the only one who’s having trouble convincing myself that I’m not going to go insane and end up locked in some institution or dead. No not from violence, but I just imagine myself going insane from everything going on with me during the panic attacks. But eventually I’ll start to work myself out of it and I’m just left feeling like a moron, that I’m soft, and I need to be stronger and get a damn grip on my anxiety.

I liked the quote is joker 2019 which said;"the worst part of having a mental illness is,people expect you to behave as if you're normal",something like this. I know what you felt dear, physical disorders are obvious and easier to deal with, but mental disorders, you look fine from outside but inside there is a hell occuring,no joy,you can not live at all, study exercise and etc. I worked out a lot, after panic I had to puke anytime I would eat,and I could barely eat a thing, feel exausted lost relationships my confidence decreased a lot,I was diagnosed with panic disorder,I have severe pure ocd which makes me overthink anything,I had days that I would think 14 hours even! Severe depression, add now and adhd as a kid, totally fucked up. Even now I am typing this comment I feel I am gonna die,I have this feeling most of the time, social phobia and a lot of other disorders that just add to the list cuz of my shitty anxiety! Man,I do need freeze the time and mechanism of universe for a while feel peace sit and cry out loud,I feel lonely and helpless man... I wish you all the best from bottom of my heart

I was able to calm myself after an hour or so, but everyday after that was dreadful. I had anxiety everyday and didn't even know what anxiety was. Over the years I ran to the E.R. and Drs. office with what I now understand to be panic attacks and anxiety, but in those moments I thought was a heart attack, stroke, rabies, a brain tumor, etc. Things have only gotten worse now that I am in my late 30s. I've gone through panic attacks since being child 29 now, last 6 years of my life has been me trapped within 4 walls and only just started to get out again across the road with my dog I can't go far but least am out a little now. it's a nightmare panic and anxiety daily, on my 6th medicine, I know how panic attack works but knowing how to get through one still hasn't helped that suffocation and impending doom is too much but I'm hoping one day I can get my life back. I've lost 6 years by this point I would probably have a degree and maybe a good job but sadly 6 years of hiding is the only thing I've done. Good luck to people going through this crap there has to be light at the end of this misery one day.

Hope you can see this but I been in that same situation but worse. I lost 6 years too. But for most people that’s in the situation there could b and for you. But for me I’m doomed, I just wanna say you gotta keep trying and relax and one day you’ll get lucky 😇. Just forget about what people think and say and just know there will be bumps in the road to getting your life back, but all you can do is try.

Oddly enough my crippling anxiety/pianic attacks subsided with the final dose of my corona vaccine. My anxiety didn’t begin because of or during covid, so I don’t attribute it to any kind of covid hysteria. Ive been suffering for years, I’ve been taking 6 buspar a day, 4 attarax ontop of that as well as sonata for sleep plus 4x a month behavioral therapy. Since my final dose of the vaccine, I’ve felt no need to take my buspar, and I’ve only taken one attarax two or three times for some light anxiety. It’s just odd but I feel it to be noteworthy. Before, I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t come back to reality, I couldn’t perform basic tasks or focus, I would get angry, I’d just have complete meltdowns. Now I’m totally functional, started a new job this week, and feel totally functional and manageable. Not sure if anyone has experienced this anomaly?

Yeah man it’s been tough for me too. I’m 22 and I had my first panic attack back in November. I’d recommend finding some anxiety calming meditations online and also some breathing techniques. These aren’t cures by any means but I believe they do help make them more bearable.

When I get panic attacks, I either get them lightly or hard. And when I say hard, I mean *HARD.* And it sucks, because my panic attacks are caused by the fear of puking (it's probs a stupid fear, ik) and my number 1 symptom is nausea. Currently suffering a large on rn!

Actually fear of vomiting or looking crazy causes panic attacks to happen. They can just appear as well. If vomiting cured it then we could vomit all the time and be done. It does manifest itself many ways and most are things that will cause you to stay home. You are not actually afraid but you feel fearful. You can also have panic in a milder state until something comes up then the panic explodes yet you know it is over nothing but what you feel is very very real. We have a fear of fear and we go into survival mode.

This was phenomenal. Kelsey everything you said hit me so hard, I had tears forming. When you mentioned that you felt like you woke up and felt like you were on 'The Truman Show' freaked me the fuck out. I felt that way in my teens, I felt like everyone was watching me, and it drove me round the bed. I also love wine, well anything alcoholic really. I've realised recently that I had been using it to medicate, well sedate the panic and anxiety i had been feeling for so many years. Any way enough about me. You were great on there so funny, very relatable, well done you should be proud, I know we all are. X
