Never back down or apologize for bringing God’s word to your workouts and KZbin. Thank you so much for the thoughts you shared in this video. I am 23 weeks pregnant with the flu and with Gods grace and guidance have kept my husband and 4 year old from getting it, but my attitude could sure use some work in many areas through being sick and in general. I've been learning how to make my home a safe refuge for my husband, but more importantly making MYSELF a safe refuge for him. Meaning, that I can be a warm, welcoming, trusting person for him (so not nagging, complaining, and bringing him down). Your story of welcoming your husband home related to me and lately I've been putting more of my attention on my husband when he comes home from a long day at work.

I loved your point about welcoming your husband home. I noticed a year ago that when I spent the time right before my husband's arrival rushing around getting the house ready, I usually wasn't in a good frame of mind to welcome him. If instead I take some time for myself to relax or do something fun during my daughter's nap, I can be recharged to give him the greeting he wants and deserves (even if the house is messy). I also love that you're studying theology! I read Grudem's Systematic Theology in high school, but I'm not good about going as deep with my studies now as a mom.

Thank you for your video. I finally watched it while I was prepping for my homeschool class this afternoon ;) You are putting so much good out into the world! Everything you said resonated with me. My family blocked out the Sabbath years ago and we make it a special time for church, family, and service. We have tried the make the Sabbath a delight as it says in Isaiah. It has tremendously blessed us. I seem to go up and down in waves sometimes where I am on fire and regularly doing devotionals with the kiddos and some weeks we only get to it once that week! I beat myself up so much about all my imperfections. We embrace "home centered, church supported" worship and have really become intentional parents in so many aspects of their education, even taking on homeschooling the last several years. One thing at the end-you mentioned reading a blank bible to just focus on the scriptures. I like to get a set of blank scriptures and then use different pencils to highlight different topics. I.e. I might read through it and mark everything that has to do with faith in green, or teachings about charity in red, etc. Then when I pick them up to study later, it's like different topics just jump out of the page at me. Don't know if this might be helpful. Anyways....long comment. But thank you!

This was SO good! I LOVE this video so much. Yes to yielding to Gods Spirit. Thank you for the word on Sabbath. I know this is something we need to obey on. Thank you. I know we will be so blessed when we do. I first found your videos about 1 1/2 years ago. Some of the videos I couldn’t play because they were not appropriate for all little eyes, the lack of full clothes made me uncomfortable to show in my home. When we know different we do different. The Lord is SO good! Thankful for these changes you’ve made (The Lord in His love and kindness) has led you to make. I just had my baby about 4 1/2 weeks ago. Going to purchase your 12 week postpartum plan soon. 💗💗💗 Keep up the great work and thank you so much for sharing with us! 🎉

Hi Ashley, being a husband and watching my wife go through similar issues to you, I am grateful for sharing your struggles to help others. I have also always been searching for God and he brought me to Georgia (the country) all the way from New Zealand - long story but a specific answer to prayer connected with why there are so many churches if there is one God. Georgia is Orthodox and was preached to by Apostle Andrew and the Church here was founded and continues as it was since Apostolic times. If you're interested more in Orthodoxy, you can research it easily online, but its best to approach with prayer and searching from the heart, because our reasoning brain constantly has the tendency to end up in error. I was not Orthodox when I started my prayerful journey (didn't even know about it to be completely honest), but I share this with you seeing as you are also sharing and you have really helped my wife so much. Life is a journey and we need to ask God continually with an open but careful mind - are we on the right track? God bless you!

Ashley thank you for sharing not only your new habits but also the "behind-the scenes" and "before the change" things and even your "still struggling with this today" moments. I know this is difficult as you place yourself out in front of everyone, raw and exposed. Over the course of using glowbodypt workouts I have seen your change. From a few workouts from the 21 day challenge (8min) plan to the 12 week post pregnancy plan to the 10min plan you have become more open about your faith and your life and that is encouraging to me. I started the 12wk post pregnancy plan about 3 1/2 years ago. My sister shared it with me and your words in the first video breathed so much life into me I was hooked. Back then I was 7 years postpartum, on a 2 year hiatus from exercising, and depressed. I worked through the 12 week plan and moved on to the 10 min plan. My workouts didn't always follow the plan and because of that I allowed negativity to thwart my efforts and drag me down. After hearing you say many times in your videos "calories don't care when you work out..." I realized that, while it is important to closely and diligently follow your workout plan to increase endurance, grow muscle, and progress my ability, the very simple fact that I was working out needed to be enough. I decided I would not focus on the fact there were more days in between my workouts than the plan defined. I decided I would not focus on my lack of motivation, as this wasn't important because it didn't matter if I lacked motivation, I had choices. I could choose to push through and workout regardless of my feelings OR choose to extend unconditional grace to myself and not workout that moment/day. Kickbacks were not allowed - no going back and kicking myself on the grace I gave to myself - if it bothered me too much to not workout then I could workout later because "calories don't care". I needed to give myself this grace but was afraid I would find too many excuses to excuse myself from doing this "hard" thing - consistently working out. I am still on this journey of health and wellness. I have worked through the 12 week ppp, in some capacity, three times over a couple of years. I have worked through Phase 1 of 10min (couch to 5k) had an injury, found Ashley's injury prevention video and created an injury prevention protocol, restarted the 10min plan (original), worked through phase 1 and part of 2, and fell out of the habit...again. I recently restarted the 10 min plan...again 🙂, after a little more than a month I noticed I was still in phase 1. Initially I was discouraged but I told myself: I still exercised, that time was not lost or for nothing. I decided that I would not start over but move forward where I was in phase 1 AND set a couple of specific goals that offer clear expectations and accountability for the areas in my life I need and want to develop. I have set spiritual, mental, etc goals as well as physical. I share this bit of my story for two reasons: someone out there is struggling just as I have and am and they need to know they are not alone. Perhaps something Ive learned will inspire or encourage them. The other reason is from the words of your story in your email "Because the truth is God has changed me significantly in the past couple of years, but you need to know I'm still incredibly human." I immediately thought "of course I'm human". Not that I thought I was not human haha, but connecting that fact to my expectations. Because my thoughts tend to lean to the negative side of the spectrum as well as an "all or nothing" and perfectionist attitude, I often don't allow the simple truth that I am human to account for my weaknesses. Many times I am negative to myself because of my humanness - I negate the good I am and do with the human mistakes I make instead of accepting God's forgiveness and grace. I stopped after I read "incredibly human". I acknowledged that I do not appreciate enough the beauty and awe of being human. The gift that this is. I am a hard worker and I am human. I am a God fearing person and I am human. I feel a bit odd sharing all of this and I hope it is encouraging to someone else, it just makes sense to me and moves me forward in my understanding. Thank you Ashley for choosing to not negotiate who you are in Christ and of course creating challenging workouts that heal and strengthen our bodies.

@glowbodypt Жыл бұрын
@@ashleymancillashome AWWWE that's exciting you're going for number 4 if it's in God's will. : D Here's the deal w/ fat loss during pregnancy: Do not try to lose weight while pregnant. Do not restrict calories or go into a deficit or try to "out-workout" excess fat. Your body needs baseline calories in 1st trimester and needs extra calories in 2nd and 3rd trimester. Not nice to have....MUST HAVE. Keep in mind your blood flow can increase by 20-50% during pregnancy, water retention increases, and you need to provide energy (energy = calories) beyond your typical consumption to grow a new human in the womb and provide for all of the new blood supply. Postpartum is the time to safely lose weight slowly over time while nursing - the Mom Cookbook and 12 Week Post Pregnancy Plan will help tremendously to have a proven plan to follow. I hope this helps.

Oh man, another great Glowbody video that I’ve already watched twice just to get it all! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your journey and growth in motherhood (as well as all the mommas in the comments)- it all gives me hope, focus and renewal. I especially appreciate the story that came with the email notifying me of the video- sometimes I look at other moms on the internet, my church or my community and think, “they have it together- what am I doing wrong?” When I hear or read about the struggles and challenges of other moms, especially in the little every day to day life things, and how they pick themselves up, find grace and move forward, that motivates me. And anytime someone can put an new perspective on how He works through us in our vocations, I’m really renewed to keep trying- thanks so much!

I was just going to do my prenatal workout from you when I saw this video, yes yes yes to all the refining God has been doing on you! It's not about our achievements, even if they're good, being fit, raising kids, instead it's a chance to offer pleasing sacrifices in faith that God will work good in it! From Him flow all things. If we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart! So blessed to have found your videos but even more thrilled at your sanctification, the process of growing closer to God might feel painful but it brings us to who He truly made us to be ❤ Keep up the work and the Faith mamas, our heavenly Father is on our side and wants us to succeed.

the fitness outfits remark was amazing. for people like me, and I admit that I have some insecurities to work through definitely! I always feel ashamed of my own body to know I'll never look like that (with stretch marks ,cellulite, former injuries, or whatever). I push through and do the workouts, but always wonder why Christian women show off their bodies publicly so much. This is no shame to you at all, I hope it doesn't come across that way. But the fact that you said that really stood out as mature and even bold. I appreciate your honesty. Btw, I was (and am) the wife who is jealous of a working husband at times when he walks through the door. What you shared in that area challenged me to work even harder in this area. thanks so much!

Ashley, You have been such an encouragement to me in the last year. From hearing of your postpartum plan I did after my son was born, and now your prenatal as we are expecting our second precious baby. Happy Homebirth Academy with Katelyn led us to you and how joyful I am for that. My husband just said the other night as I was trying to finish my workout "you talk of Ashley as if she is a long time friend of yours". That's how much your workouts mean to me! So watching this video brought so much joy and conviction into my own heart. Thank you for being obedient to the Lord in sharing this. Stay strong and keep spreading the love of Jesus to others. How we need that so much.

It's so sweet to hear how God has altered your life, and to be challenged myself in the ways you mentioned - caring for your husband well, honoring the Sabbath, focusing on how you can train your kids up in the ways of the Lord. (I laughed out loud when you pulled out Wayne Grudem's book! How many KZbin fitness instructors are reading Systematic Theology! I love it.) Thanks for being so open. I'm praying that God continues to use you for good in this world!

I started homeschooling my three kids and I’m pregnant with baby number 4 (there is some very disturbing and corrupting agendas being taught starting in preschool here in Washington state) I also am feeling very overwhelmed at times but I know when I make time for God first everything will be okay. I really need to work on being a better loving wife. And making a more welcoming environment. Your words hit home for me. I love this video. Thank for making it, God bless you and your family.

It’s hard being a woman of God, wife and mother sometimes. I am a homeschooling mom and a mom of 12 children. My family always find ways to spread Gods word and yes we too get negative comments and or we have lost people whom we thought were friends. Never lose yourself to try and please everyone. Us Christians will always have haters, we just need to keep on keeping on. Keep spreading the word in your videos. You will definitely keep me as a fan.

How cool! We are part of a home church, too. Deuteronomy 6:7 says regarding God's ways, we are to "Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." It's so clear that God expects us as parents to pastor our children, not someone else! And we see repeatedly what happened when people did not pastor their own children. Ahem, Israelites. Love your exercise programs. I would pay for updated prenatal videos with modest clothes! My 11 year old son watches alongside me sometimes, and I feel a bit uncomfortable with the sports bras and teeny shorts that sometimes pop up in old videos. I don't say this to make you feel bad. We are all on a journey of growing into the righteousness God gifted us. ❤

Thank you for sharing your other video based on what you do during the day and keeping Jesus in your schedule to accomplish all your other responsibilities. This is inspiring and a good reminder for me cause life can get busy and we can forget. I love how you instill the teachings of Jesus with your children and praying with them. That was beautiful to see and listening to your children's prayers. May God continue to give you those graces! I completely agree in raising our children in the faith with a solid foundation and Christ like values. I plan on doing this with my 1yr old son and any more children God blesses me with. As a parent yourself you know how important it is.
@SweetAla55 Жыл бұрын
Also want to point out I love your workouts.They are motivating and challenging! Taking care of our bodies is important because God gave us our bodies and it's our responsibility to take care of it. The same is for our soul. We need to exercise it as well by attending church, reading the Bible and other Christian literature and of course prayer. I'm not perfect in these areas myself, but try to do the best I can. We as mothers and human beings need to support each other in this crazy world. So Ashley continue to speak the Truth because so many people need to hear it and being an example to others can hopefully bring them closer or back to Christ. I try to do this the best way that I can.

Oh wow! Such a beautiful inspiring video. It’s like a reminder n god’s way of communicating with me. Lately i have been very impatient with my husband being jealous of his work-life n always doubting his contribution in chores. Blinded towards his efforts. Also trying hard to sleep my baby just like a robot at the fixed time so that i get my time. I have noticed the more i resent the more things fall apart and accepting n being kind n grateful solves most of the problems ( most of which is actually our own mind assumptions )

Thank you for sharing this. I am currently 9 weeks post partum, and just started the 12 week program (much later than I wanted to, but had to wait for medical reason). I also did your prenatal program but didn’t find you until I was about 27 weeks. I love your style and chose your programs because of your sign you had hanging up about how your body is a gift from God. I loved that you talk about your faith, your beliefs and your journey. I, myself, was on a new journey with God and was praying for the right people to be brought into my life. I believe He led me to your program. This video resonated with me so much. I recently have been dealing with those feelings of resentment and frustration, praying for God to help me through this attitude and to focus on the blessings, focus on the mother that I want and need to be for my son, and the wife my husband needs.Thank you for making me realize that I am not alone in these feelings. Thank you for being real with us. I needed this today. God is amazing!

That's 100% OK you are starting later than planned (I'm sorry something medical was going on!) but honestly many women who start a bit "later" do better! Thank you for opening up with us! You are so inspiring. And I'm so thankful you share your faith the way you do. Not only are you talented in prenatal and postpartum fitness, but you share the message of Christ, and I love it! I was thrilled to find you about a year ago when I was pregnant. I'm a believer in Christ, I love reading God's Word, and I seek to live as He wants me to as I grow in Him. I'm married with a 4 year old son and almost 6 months old son. I love my boys so much and absolutely love being a mother! I'm a SAHM and plan on homeschooling them. I'm in a tough season, and I feel I can't get a handle on things. My husband criticizes me almost daily, and I feel like a complete failure. I say the wrong things and often don’t know how to respond. I'm praying God would help me with all this. I really want to start your 12 week postpartum plan, I NEED to start it! But I hesitate, maybe because I don’t know how I will fit it in, or I won't stick to the schedule. I had a traumatic birth experience, and it took me a while to heal and feel myself again. I was seeing a pelvic floor PT but stopped doing the exercises she recommended. I have regained my strength but still have ab separation and need to lose fat. I'm breastfeeding and feel hungry even more than when pregnant. Please pray for me and my husband's relationship and also that I would find and do what God has called me to do to the best of my ability. With love, Kandyce

This video was so so so so good. These are my struggles Ashley! It’s so hard to switch our minds from a worldly viewpoint to a Godly viewpoint. It’s takes time and effort and many mistakes. This was so encouraging to me to keep trying. When my attitude and demeanor towards my husband is rude and degrading it distances me from him and he feels disrespected. My kids are being taught things I don’t want to intentionally teach them. It’s everything I don’t want to happen, that is happening! Thank you for being so transparent. I love that you exercise with the kids and dogs around, with life happening and that you talk about God all the time. In other words, you don't separate your devotional life from any other aspect of your life and you don't use motherhood as an excuse to not take care of yourself and work. You are an exemple to so many women. I'm thankful to you for so many things, but specially for helping me understand that the time I take to exercise is a way to worship the temple that God gave to each one of us: our bodies.
