Pay good attention to what Chris has learned and thankfully shared with the KZbin crowd. Why? Because Chris offered this unit up for sale (In order to build his next version), and I purchased this unit. Everything Chris learned he has shared. This unit is exactly what he has shown you. I took his unit, did a couple fiddly things to it, and started vapor-blasting the crap out of stuff. The unit is.... Well.... Pretty damned good! I don't have time to do a three-year development phase. I also don't have the budget to buy a pro unit. But I am lazy/smart enough to use what Chris learned to my advantage. This is a great tutorial.

Thanks for the video. I am about 15% through my build. Your video has help motivate to get this thing finished! I want to try to get some side income going with it. Glad to hear you have had success in that area.

Look into a rusco sediment filter. They are washable so you don't have to keep buying filters. You can also select the micron size to filter

curious that you dont have seperate clean water setup and blast media setup? if you seperated these you wouldnt have any issues, or is yours inside the cabinet?

Killing it with these videos! By chance do you know what filtration bins these are I’ve found it on grainger supply under the name of Straight Wall Container by chance would you know the dimensions of the top and bottom bin? Figure I’d make my own as vapor hone wants $650 for it Thanks

If you're worried about dropping bolts, put a nice strong magnet on the mesh ;-)

Thanks for sharing what you have learned Chris! How many operating hours do you have on your meter? And do you find the size sufficient for most things that customers want to send you, or would you build a bigger cabinet if you would do it again? I am torn about whether I should go with a cheap HF style cabinet or weld up a bigger one from stainless sheet right away, so I can fit dirt bike frames and subframes, bigger car suspension parts etc.

I would definitely build a bigger one the second time around. I would say 80% of what people bring me are easy to blast. The largest pieces I can do are Auto V8 heads and intake manifolds. And that requires juggling it around in the cabinet to do it. It is not easy. I don't have a total operating hours on the machine. The timer just times individual jobs for billing.
