How does one find a sober friend irl? Honest question.

Great Question! I found a Queer Sober Social group on meetup and attended an event. I'd recommend researching if there are any groups, sober bars, alcohol free bottle shops, that sort of thing, in your area. I stopped drinking in the middle of the pandemic so a lot of my sober friends came from online groups or social media pages that I eventually met IRL. It's definitely easier in cities but at the very least you could find a group that gets together around something not related to alcohol (like a run club or book club that meets at a coffee shop)
