Your journey has been so amazing and what I love the most about it is that you still keep it as simple as in the beginning, in terms of not using any product other than shampoo. Not even spritzing water on it or oiling your scalp. That's the case with me too. I'm currently on my 17th month and looking forward to my 2-year anniversary.

I have hand in hair syndrome too. I believe it’s a condition that develops when you fall in love with the feel of your hair. Btw having long “flat”(?) hair is not a problem in my mind. Happy 3 year Locaversary! Yeh. I know I’m late. 😊

I did fall deeply in love... I did love volume in the past, but I'm happy with my hair right now so I guess it's not too flat.

Any information that you can share as to why locs snap or break off?

I understand it has to do with dryness. As for me, the ones I lost more so unraveled or didn't loc properly so a part of it just detached like shed hair that never loc'd. One loc was combed out by my consultant. She said it was too weak. My locs never really snapped but the end result is the same... You lose a part of a loc. But if it's only a couple of locs, it's fine.
