Justin Fashanu, RIP. His life was never the same after leaving Norwich

I was privileged to watch LFC from 1978 to 1989 and I thought that players like Dalglish, McDermott, Souness and Kennedy would last forever. It wasn't long before a young lad named Ian Rush burst onto the scene.

How on earth did Liverpool finish 5th in this season...

Obv needed freshening up and we had future legends Rush Whelan Lawrenson Lee (more playing time) Johnston and Grobelaar waiting in the wings but this team still won their third european cup and first ever league cup. Clemence Case and Kennedy left this season and McDermott the next...all Legends.

Why did the commentator John Motson go quiet when Hansen opened the scoring with a worldie? Had he a bet on Dalglish? I'd say so😂

There's none of that hand slapping an opponent every time you tackle each other like the puffs of today do.

John Motson has to be the worst commentator the BBC has ever employed, in a long tradition of donkeys.

He was a bit of a sad nerdy bellend. Barry Davies was my preferred choice. Motson was statistically obsessed....
