Jessica, I was gifted Storyworth last Christmas. They actually gave me 15 months to finish it. My book ended up being 329 pages!! I loved the writing part. Going through 74 years worth of pictures was the most difficult & time consuming! When my mom died I brought all of her pictures home with me so you can imagine all that she had. Storyworth is such a wonderful gift to give a loved one!

Bought my kids a game called “emotional rollercoaster” that is basically chutes & ladders with feelings. Each square has a feeling & you have to talk about a time you felt the thing or what makes you feel that way, etc. there are also some squares where you get a card with a “calm down”/regulating technique.

Unless someone already mentioned it, we have a Yoto player for our kids!! Similar idea to the Toni but instead of figurines to place ontop its little cards you put in. Way easier to store/travel with and you can link it to your phone so if a card gets lost you can still play from your phone. 10/10 recommend!! Also they have kid-friendly podcasts and music , timers, etc. I recommend this to everyone!!!

one of the best gifts for children is TOMY eggs, (hide and squeak) they are good from age 1 or so, they have so many levels of play - shape sorting, color sorting but also when they are older when they play pretend cooking. they are really good quality and cute as hell, low tech so they don't break, require batteries or make too much noise. i'm 30 years old and my nieces and nephews are still using the ones i had as a child.

The Tonies box is awesome. I've suggested to some grandparents(if the grandkids habe the box ready) to buy the figures that you can put your own recording on and read a story to them. Then send the book and the figure to the kiddo so they can hear grandma or grandpa reading to them anytime and can follow along In the book!

I would like to share a recommendation that is one of my favorite gifts I’ve ever received: a backscratcher. It’s inexpensive, you can find many different versions of it, and is extremely useful. It may sound stupid, but I use that thing every day. It can also double as a tool to help nudge fallen items out of tight spaces where you can’t reach. Backscratchers are amazing.

I got my mom a portable charger bc they hike often and she said I keep it in my purse, it’s saved me multiple times. She said that my grandma went into the hospital and she didn’t have a big charger with her but did have a portable charger and that worked or if the charger failed during the night for whatever reason, a good back up
