We moved to a different part of the country at the age of 37. Our friends group being established for about 17-20 yrs, we "grew up" together as young people. The new town and new people are extremely welcoming and they make it easy to hang out. However, making friends in adulthood compared with your teens or earlier years, (for me) feels like friendly acquaintances and that's fine.

I’m also reading through the Bible for the first time this year. I’ve really enjoyed the Bible Recap plan. It’s a chronological plan with a 7 minute podcast explaining each days readings. It was especially helpful in the Old Testament. It shifted my perspective to look for God and learn his character in scripture instead of seeing how it applies to me.

I literally wear one of Quince's clothing items, every day-and have done so, for the past three years. No contest. Three years on, the quality is still there just the same as when I first purchased their clothing. Their cashmere is absolutely top-notch. Ditto for their casual clothing, which I also wear for my twice-daily pilates routines (tank tops, t-shirts, and warm-up jackets). I recently discovered my color 'season': "Lightest Summer". Reading to your kids is so enriching and imprints the best memories!. My daughter is 19, now-but from when she first started in Pre-K, I made sure to include a handwritten note of love and encouragement in her school snack bag, every day.

We live in Pinellas County between St Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach. There was NO gas to be found starting the Sunday before the storm hit. Once the storm hit we waited in lines for hours to get enough gas to get all of us back and forth to work and for the generator. It was a daily hours long adventure. Thankfully we only had power outages and minor damage. People in our area lost everything. They still have all their belongings and debris on their front lawns because there is nowhere to take it. The dumps are already full from Helene. It's humbling for sure.

I did one that had really amazing videos attached to each book of the Bible that had really cool digital drawings along with a recap of each book. It was really neat. The bible project. 10/10 recommend all of there devotions! I honestly found the Old Testament this time around blown my mind. I’ve learned so much about little things that have stood out like why God gave us the rainbow, Passover, circumcision, meaning behind a scape goat. So many random little things in life that I knew about, but now I understand the meaning behind it.. 🩵
