I discovered Marissa more than a week ago. Today marks the second consecutive day in which I've worked out with her. I did this workout today. She is so sweet, beautiful, informative, and thorough. Some of these exercises were challenging. I love this workout's thorough cool-down. Most workouts I've done with other instructors don't lead me through a cool-down as thorough as this one. Marissa is now one of my favorite instructors. Every instructor I've worked out with through Gymra has been a keeper. I'm glad I have the Gymra app on my new smart TV, so I can work out with Marissa or any of the other great instructors anytime.

Really good workout! But bloody difficult! There were one or two exercises I just physically couldn't do. I'm going to try and do this daily though so hopefully I'll get really good at it. Recommended!

Thanks for posting this exercise video. I got a good workout over it and hopefully work the muscles that will help with balance. I was really looking for an ab workout since I've added a few pounds on my stomach and I work at a desk all day. I've had a lower back injury 8 years ago and it only creeps up if I haven't exercised and I shovel the snow off the driveway. I'm very cautious. I felt it mostly in my back thighs, calves and abs. Tge biggest problem right now is my heartrate. I've noticed a significant difference since I gained weight and even simple thing wear me out a little. I think I'll continue to do this workout regularly a couple times a week to get used to it and the correct forms so I don't pull any muscles.

Great workout..can't do the mountain climbers..tried and just can't seem to get my body to actually do it. I just ran in place during this time period. Sometimes you have to adjust to your own level. Loved it....jealous of how great the trainer looks but in a good way ;o)

I really enjoyed this routine. I see some old comments here wondering why it was called a beginner's workout; the title must have been changed in the meantime, and true, this is at least an intermediate set of exercises. Not much cueing, either, so anyone who attempts to do it, should already know these moves and the right form for each. That doesn't negate the fact that - almost six years later - this is still a really good routine. I had some nice sweat going, even though there was only a couple short cardio bursts. This is worth returning to.

It's really up to you and your level of comfort. Some people may be ok on the ground or on carpet, others do better with an exercise mat. You can also try laying down a towel on the carpet for extra cushion.

What I can't help noticing is her left hip is higher so she's leaning to the right side. A chiro or osteopath visit will help correct it and give better form and long term health.
