I'm sad that other people don't like how much talking the teacher gave in this video. I liked Briohny's amount of instruction and found it extremely helpful. I find that there are very few truly intermediate yoga classes and videos out there. Most are either quite basic and slow or so advanced that I feel intimidated (and sometimes, I admit, angry) by the practice. I felt that Briohny hit a happy medium for me by providing good instruction to help me become better prepared for the more advanced poses like handstands and headstands.

I was pleasantly surprised. Alo Yoga tends to give off the vibe of only being accesible for LA yogis with perfect bodies. Briohny effectively led us through a delicious practice that felt amazing. I'm glad she explained every step of the way. It brought ones attention to the body and made it a concious practice, not the usual going through the movements on auto pilot. Also, by explaining each move, it allowed me to fix some moves that I'd been slacking on. Chaturanga anyone? This routine felt really good. I will be coming back for more.

I’m confused by people saying the instructor talked too much. I’m not sure how it’s so distracting. I love how you actually tell viewers how to do the poses, even those as 'basic' as small cobra, as you go, and transition slowly into each pose so people can actually see how you got there. I usually find on yoga videos the instructors fly from one pose to the next and sometimes hold them for hardly any time so I don't even know if I'm doing them properly. So thanks!

This was such a great change of pace for me. I’ve been using the same yoga dvd for almost 10 years, and finally decided it was time to branch out. This definitely is a physically demanding flow, but the instructor assured you that it’s okay to flow at you own pace and ability. Thanks for posting!

Loved the explanations, calmness, clarity, and flow. Sometimes it's hard to know what to do cause you can't see the screen, but because you explain everything so well I can follow through. She has a perfect calming voice. I’ve been a yoga instructor for many years. If you don’t like it move on 🤷♀️ no need to leave you’re unkind opinionated feedback. Thanks, Briohny! I always appreciate your very in-depth instructions on how to focus my body, and how to focus my mind. I appreciate all of your words.

Despite the slow pace, I was able to generate some heat. Really focusing on strength in this class, I found the mix of upper and lower-body focus very even. Really altogether a great class if you only have a half hour. Namaste, Briohny.

I loved this flow. I had a yoga class last year for my fall semester and I absolutely loved my instructor. We mostly focused on this kind of yoga; vinyasa flow and I find that this is the only yoga that really helps out my anxiety lol Sometimes, she would do a bit more of a meditative practice where we focus on what our body emotionally needed. She challenged us and at times It was hard and i wanted to give up, but she was encouraging but tough at the same time. I was just starting college and, I wasn’t ready to accept the change that comes with graduating. College felt very hard for me; heavy and the practice every time I had class with it’s challenges and the way my body would respond helped me so much. It was like my therapy. I almost wanted to cry sometimes lol and this video is the closest that I’ve found. I love the pace and the practice

When I consider all the tutorials I follow to learn poses such as Bakasana, and all the scaffolding necessary, I am amazed at the assumptions reflected in this video about what people can do as beginners of the practice with a few instructions that actually rely on months and months of strength/flexibility building, proprioception and general body awareness. Like teaching algebra to people still learning basic calculations. She should just start by saying this is a level 2 and higher session. It can take years to develop the kind of core it takes to hop up as she does, being sure to focus on knees to chest as opposed to flipping up feet, which many newbies will do. Just offer some level 1 videos as well as these advanced ones so people don't hurt themselves.
