That's all really cool, but if I have to scroll down two or three (or four) pages for an app, it's no longer quick access, and I may as well keep them on a home screen. I love that control center is now expandable and highly organizable, but more than a page seems too much.

While I somewhat agree, just know that when you drag from the right corner, by dragging further down, you can get straight to any page. You don’t have to scroll, and it’s pretty quick

If i'm not wrong you can just delete everything in one page (including the preset ones) and it disappears so you have just one page

Just thought I’d let you all know. The ‘Open App’ under shortcut doesn’t open the shortcuts app, it allows you to select an app in your phone to open up rather than having to make a shortcut for it. Super nice

go into shortcuts and create new shortcut then change the icon of this shortcut to the wifi logo then add an action and change ‘turn wifi’ into ‘toggle wifi’ then add the shorcut into the conrol center

Thank you ! I think control center is good for actions you can do on top of other apps like the waterlama or dark noise widget but opening apps makes it lose its meaning. Just put the app on the homescreen, it’s way easier to access !

I know you’ve probably answered this question before but how do you even find out which apps have control center widgets / controls. For example I have lots of Govee devices but use HomeKit for most of my home controls so would love to be able to see HomeKit and Govee automation under my home controls.

You can do that with a single Shortcut action, "Seek" media action and then customize the seconds!

There's a dedicated "connectivity" page in Control Center that has the individual Wifi and cellular controls, but there aren't actions you can place manually.

Find My has been buggy since iOS 18 and unfortunately YT Music doesn’t offer any Shortcuts actions.

I feel like any control center button that opens an app is just a glorified app icon. I want everything I do in control center to stay there. otherwise I may as well put a shortcut on the home screen

You just need to be on the latest version of the App and iOS 18. Go to the app's page in the App Store as automatic updates don't refresh sometimes.

That’s silent mode! If you have an iPhone 15 or older without an Action Button you won’t see it there.

I have to seriously question the mental wellbeing of anyone tracking their water consumption. It’s called being thirsty. That’s how you know when you need water. Not an NGO saying “you need 8 glasses a day” or some nonsense. Very very neurotic behaviour.

This is absolutely not true. It takes a long time for water to actually hydrate you. If you only drink when you're thirsty, you can go hours without being properly hydrated. I'm a professional singer and hydration for me is a massive factor on how I do my job. Reminders a couple of times a day to keep hydrated can be useful.

😂😂😂 Well i would normally agree, plenty of apps for ridiculous purposes, but not this time. Ever heard about the hormones ghrelin and leptin that are responsible for the signals of hunger and satiety ? Well the feeling of thirst is also activated by the release of the peptide hormone angiotensin II. Some ppl with some conditions and illnesses cant feel thirst due hormones shinanigans and they do whatever they can to remind themselves to drink, from creating habits to track water intake to keeping bottles everywhere like car, backpack, work desk so they see it all the time and not forget to drink for many hours. Now im not one of them, but its possible and there are ppl who experience actual life threatening dehydration and still cant feel thirst. Last, but not least… the signal of thirst is triggered when ur body experience mild dehydration. Im not saying healthy ppl should track water intake either, but you should never wait to feel thirst in a first place.

@@CodedEnough Not exactly. You can remove some stuff, and then the screen gets only half used with a bunch of small buttons. Also, I can't split the "connection" stuff, like the "Hotspot" option is not removable, and I NEVER use it. If I remove it, the Wifi button (which I use all the time) goes away too. Plus some other smaller terrible visual states. Really bad change, I just want it as it was, it was perfect.
