Just to add for anyone who sees this comment: The last word "그러니까" can have the short form "그니까" which is used in informal contexts.

Fun fact: The word "그럭저럭" can be found in the lyrics of one of 빅뱅 (BIGBANG)'s most iconic songs, 하루하루 (Haru Haru) chorus part 그럭저럭 참아볼만 해 그럭저럭 견뎌낼만 해 I can bear it in some way I can stand it in some way

@@angelic18 I started learning the Hangeul by myself thru the aid of YT and Google. Then while finding some effective tutorial on YT, I came across with this channel and I just keep on watching their contents (while taking notes). I also watch a lot of Kmovies and BTS' interview without subs to improve my hearing skills. I believe you can do it to Amiii! 💜

Really nit-picky, but your English is so amazing, I feel like this might be useful. As far as I've heard it used, "so-and-so" is used in place of people only. For other objects, places, just other nouns in general, the term you might be looking for is "such-and-such." As in "So-and-so went to the market and bought such-and-such." I've just heard it used a good amount of times, so I thought I'd let you know! Your ability to learn languages to such high levels of fluency is honestly such an inspiration to me, Hyunwoo! Thank you always for the amazing content! 🥺 (I pray to see the bilingual/trilingual talks again some day, maybe not on TTMIK but somewhere!)
@simoncreaner1660
@simoncreaner1660 3 жыл бұрын
Such-and-such is better for undetermined objects (as in your example), but Hyunwoo is describing an undetermined *amount* of something, and so-and-so is just fine in this context, and sounds natural enough to me. Probably our different experiences come from regional preferences/habits developed over time

This video style is a great way of presenting a lot of words in a short-ish video while keeping it engaging and entertaining! Also, from now on, anytime I see a blank/white area in a TTMIK video, I will assume Yeji is standing behind it waiting to say something cute. 😂

It's amazing how I know 80% of the words but don't even think of using most of it..😂 but these are new words that I learned today, 그릇- Bowl/Dish, 그네-swing, 그럭저럭-not too good, not too bad, 그저-only/just, 그대-you, 그럴듯하다-not real but looks real, 그나저나-by the way and 그믐달-the moon's shape. I'll try to use it when forming sentences..😊 thanks ttmik for these! It'll be great if you could do these types of videos in a day to day basis with different words... 감사합니다 샘! 톡톡 아우트!

BTW, I am looking forward to doing the new course on the website with TTMIK and Tyler Rasch. I am currently watching 비정상회담, so I see him on there and I can tell it's going to be a great course from his knowledge that he has expressed on the show. Great collaborations and can't wait to see more of these in the future! For the time being, I am doing 3 other courses, but after those, I will start on the new ones hehe 감사합니다!
