Slt...Si je peux me permettre : Depuis longtemps aux US on distingue 2 fonctions ppales liées aux munitions. -Le STP "Stopping Power".....la puissance d'arrêt. Une balle lourde à effet "coup de poing" La "vedette" étant restée longtemps la munition de .45. - La "Perf." La puissance de perforation, une munition à haute vitesse, chemisage métallique et pointe perforante. Une grande variété en . 357. Donc, un très bon test qui démontre bien qu'un petit calibre à haute vélocité a un pouvoir de pénétration plus grand qu'un "gros" calibre plus lourd, donc plus lent. We shot at American 1950 car bumpers 50 years ago at the junkyard. Factory armor piercing .357 did not penetrate, there was so hot it got stuck in Smith & Wesson model 19 cylinder. Hard cast Linotype 44 magnum bullets went through like a hole punched. Clean hole, no problem ejecting.

El 44 tiene mas penetración casualmente el proyectil se volteó casi al final perjudicando la penetración. (il 44 magnum ha più penetrazione solo che casualmente il proiettile su e girato quasi al finale rendendolo peno prenettante . ) Bisognerebbe ripetere la prova .

Bonjour, Test intéressant, mais hélas faussé ! Il faut des munitions de même marque. Les S&B sont clairement sous chargées alors que les magtech pète bien. Si le 357 avait été en S&B, il serait derrière le 44 mag.

I think the box of 44 you have is 44 special ammo not 44 mag and that would explain your results. A soft point should go farther and a hollow point.

El 44 sera mejor como muchos dicen ! Pero el 357 magnum le gana x lejos . X2 simple razones 38spl y 357 magnum . 2 en 1 . El 44 es mas inestable para tirar , hay q tener demasiada practica y es mas caro. Mientras el 357 es mucho mas estable mas certero y podes usar 38 que lo vuelve mas versatil .

Magnum rounds are nothing to play with...and is probly why the 357 is my favorite power round! Looking at 327federal revolvers now, something my daughter could handle if need be!

The plates Are not fixed up top so the plates Will bend backwards more when hit. This doesn't impact penetraition??

Problem is the bottom is more stable than the top as nothing is holding the top sheets in place plus you used a semi auto when the .357 mag was designed around a 6" revolver.... this is more of a playful test between two DEAGLES .... try again modasucka!

Just FYI, that means that the bottom round has more of a chance to penetrate than the top round, since the top can flex with the impact. This means that the .357 could, in theory, penetrate even deeper than the .44 if the top was also secured. Also, both rounds were designed for revolvers. There is no trying again, you just need to sit down with a physics book.

+Jen Duran - No - the problem is, if you look closely, the box of .44 rounds is NOT 44 MAGNUM, but rather only 44 SPECIAL rounds. That makes quite the difference here. You can see it on the box at the end of the video - 44 SP.

180 grain Hornady xtp hot load would have made a mess. I shoot deer with it and just leaves a massive hole on the other side liquifying everything in the chest cavity

That was .44 special rounds. Put some proper mag rounds in it and retest. Probably did that on purpose so he wouldn't damage his basement foundation 😂

Yeah definitely more ammo issue, 44 mag is known to penetrate alot better than 357 mag, if you would use a hardcast or extreme defenders/penetrators with proper 44 mag and 357 mag loads from underwood, Buffalo bore I guarantee you will see better results with the 44 mag even with the 44 mag being a larger bullets causing more resistance BUT if you jack then velocity's up to passed a mild factory bulk soft point which probably isn't producing more then 700 lbs from your gun with the REAL 44 mag pushing near 1500 lbs with a 300 plus gr bullet, the extra weight with mass alone with probably allow it to out penetrate a 357 mag with a 300 gr mild load, bullet profile/construction has alot to do with it

SEMPITERNAL vids 44 mag can push a 240 gr just as fast or faster than a 125 gr 357, and 300 gr 44 mag can get was a 158 gr 357 mag can, then you have 340 gr at the same speed as a 158 gr 357 in 44 mag... I love them both but 44 SPL/mag can do everything better, 44 SPL can produce the energy that a 357 mag can with less recoil,blast and flash...or you can get right at 454 casull level or drop down to 44 Russian and in a 44 mag has no recoil barely but 45 acp ballistics...
