You'd have to tell people not to watch it then 🤣 they base on views among other things. Likely they get views that justify the cost which is prolly not that bad compared to a tv series no matter how good but can't garner enough views to justify the cost.

Also, as an Italian, I would like to point something out. Romanticising *mafia bosses* or anyone who is part of the mafia is absolutely sick. It is a system of murder and torture which still affects our country today and which a Polish author - who obviously doesn't know anything about organised crime - should not write about in this sort of light. Oh, and trust me, mafia bosses do not look like ANY of the guys in this movie. Get better idols.

The worst part is the romanticization of mafia. I'm italian and I assure you that nobody wants to watch a movie that portraits "a good side of the mafia" because there isn't. That's really harmful, people died and still today mafia has so much power. It's not something to be horny about. It's disgusting.

Organized crime and criminals in general get romanticized a lot in romance media. It's not great. But too many women are into the fantasy of dangerous men to ever stop it I think. Though tbf it's not like it's only romance media romanticizing criminals, other popular media does it to. Think Breaking Bad, or going further back, The Godfather.

I have learned to distinguish the pretentious glamour Hollywood portrayal of mafia and the actual reality of mafia since.

@@rose_blue1 to Massimo? Yes. She was forced at first but then stockholm syndrome. THENNNN came in Nacho. Without thinking who tf is Nacho she just simply followed him, letting him snatching her away. The first question of Nacho is he is a gardener. How on earth a Gardener, be allowed in a ball hosted by mafia all around. That's a weird combination there. Then how on earth he knows she's there? He is, fair reminder, A GARDENER. Did he stalk her? Did he followed her? RED FLAG. Laura knows that she is marrying a mafia, a mafia boss to be more exact, she is well aware of that now. So she is also well aware Massimo would have AT LEAST one enemy. Never occured to her that part? A lot actually makes no sense. Okay fair enough Nacho lied to her at first but she never looked around? She even talk to his sister. His sister lived like a rich person which contradicts every reason for Nacho to be a gardener in a mafia house. He is not that subtle in his ways of living anyway. His dad is wealthy and he choose to be a gardener? In real world that makes absolute ridiculous 💀💀. Laura never ever think why on earth the gardener she knows on and off, basically only a few times within the household, to be there in the first place? Weird and weird. Even when she is hurt by the allegedly cheating of massimo, she lowered her guard so easily over a complete stranger... She barely knows Massimo to begin with anyway 💀💀 Sorry I just wanna rant out 💀💀

I feel like the premise of "I was protecting you" is so much more compelling than kidnapping in the first place?? Like, if she was a successful business woman they could have made her get involved somehow with the mafia, have Massimo hear from his family what the plan was for her, take pity on her, and keep her safe for a year where they inevitably fall in love. This way he could have a character arch, she could live an escapist fantasy, and the second movie could be about his brother finding out about her or something. Literally ANYTHING would make more sense than what they're doing.

And to this day, im32, I can't say I'm smart, but I do have logic thinking, enough to know that I should knock this kind of asshole out the next chance I get and find a route home. Nobody could ever get my heart who kidnappes me. And if I'm a married woman and see my husband cheating, I would absolutely talk to him right as soon and possible, and would never hunk about running away bef9clearing it up, and especially not to the next hot guy I know and especially not to someone I've just spoken once. And even if I would never eve rbe satisfied if they answered to my question how he fucking owns an island, they are doing business. For the people wondering why the mafia premise is such a popular thing for media, it's because of the Forbidden Fruit Effect. It's where something that seems unavailable, dangerous and morally ambiguous becomes desirable to the brain. It's also why incest p0rn, student teacher novels and fanfiction is popular. People know it's morally wrong but that's the kick people want. While I see the iffyness of it due to real life situations (I'm Japanese and we have Yakuza), I can understand the appeal. I like the Yakuza games because they are badass but I would never want to be associated with them in real life. Same thing with the mafia premise, people like the feeling of danger while not being in actual danger. It's just messed up humanity.

I genuinely think that Netflix produce willingly these garbages because they know it will Be talked about way more than any other good movies /TV shows, there will be more ytb videos about it and it will attract attention easily, the irony of it all is that despite being considered as garbage, 365 deni still managed to top the most viewed items in Netflix 😭 , as a result , producers may think that it was well recieved and thus make another one, the most saddening thing in all of this Is that producers doesn't need anymore to produce great movies because they know pretty well that it will Be viewed by a lot of people and thus gain a lot of money , they don't care about quality , that's why they end up making a so called movie, devoid of dialogue, plotless and full of sex scenes, they are taking us as fools, it's frustrating knowing that there is great TV shows that got cancelled :((

No matter how much we hate on it, a shit ton of people will tune in for the sex scenes. It's sad but it's supply and demand. I only watch Netflix for Young Royals and Heartstopper. The "sexy mafia" trope is so prevalent and so unhealthy and so inaccurate yet so fun at the same time (in other media, not this. I'm thinking of Team Rocket and Giovanni as I write this) that I really think we as a society need to just keep the trope but not use the word mafia (or Yakuza for that matter) so that we can all actually accept that the real mafia is absolutely horrible Like keep the antivillain gangs of criminals who are all a dysfunctional family, love that shit, just don't call them a mafia or associate them with the mafia

That's one of the many reasons I love the show "Sons of Anarchy": there's also a love story between the hero (a bad boy and member of a gun dealers gang) and a doctor. But unlike that piece of garbage, the serie doesn't try to romanticize it, quite the opposite! It shows in a very crude way what happens to love stories in the brutal, ruthless world of mafia. The serie says: "Hey girls, if you fall in love with a bad guy, or a good guy doing bad business with bad persons, and you try to "fix" him, well guess what? You'll fix shit, and he, or his friends, will destroy you." This...let's say...movie says: "Hey girls, if you fall in love with a possessive, brutal, heartless, abusive psychopath, who certainly killed many people because, you know, he's in the f*cking mafia, well great! You'll have many things to fix! So do your job, woman, and earn him at his best!"
