Caltrain RFW on Baby Bullet train

 I had to return to the Bay Area to capture these F40 icons and get some cab rides before all of the above disappears within 2 months. Only the F40PH-3C’s will survive but the Nippon bilevels will not. Here we capture a little ride on the “Bullet” on a gorgeous day.  All stations, interlockings, and passing trains are identified. The engineer went bonkers with the horn!!!More SF rail videos to follow including a couple of lengthy cab rides and F40 overdoses in the extreme!!! Muni and BART also featured. I didn’t think so either, but the urge to go back to San Francisco just hit me like a ton of bricks. there are a lot of things I didn’t do on my last trip that I did on this one

It's a shame that head end shots will no longer be possible when the new electric train sets go into service soon. While you're in San Francisco, stop by the Market Street Railway gift shop and pick up a copy the current issue of their publication, "Inside Track" which features an article with photos of a history of the 40 Line street car. It ran from San Francisco to San Mateo. Almost the entire issue is devoted to the former interurban style 40 Line with many photos and a route map showing stations. I am a long time member of the Market Street Railway group.

21:42 CP Common the signal is Medium Approach Slow. Red over Yellow over Yellow. At 4th Street the signal are Slow Clear followed by Slow Approach with a Stop at the bumper.
