3D Graffiti

During a recent trip to Boston I got to hang out with Cody Wojcik who is a very talented 3D fixed pilot (and past world champion) so Steele and I made the most of the opportunity to get some chase footage of him doing his thing. Unfortunately it was all very rushed, windy and my GoPro was broken and stuck on certain settings although the location was very pleasing. Hopefully I get the chance to do some more filming with Cody sooner rather than later. Special thanks to Ryan Houts for being our local guide.

When you flew up to the people sitting on the rocks and hovered for a moment before blasting off somewhere really makes it feel like the quad is a wild animal just checking people out and taking off if it gets spooked

This takes me back to the FT videos of old, the ones that got me into this expense... err, hobby. Chasing planes is some of the best fun on sticks, next to combat and choosing the wrong model in your Tx. But few make it look this good, without getting all explodey.

+FinalGlideAus Inspirational stuff. Been binge watching rotor riot, all of you seem like good blokes and really sell the culture. Being in my late 30s, the most I could afford to get into as a kid was building and flying control line planes ... and overdosing on flight sims. Having something as cool as quads being so accessible has really reignited an old flame ... and your show is basically quad porn. I religiously fly a micro/mini every day (not sure I made the right decision in going mode 2) but already have the soldering station and hot glue gun ready to go for when I drop some $$ on something I know I'm going to thrash :)

Hey man, quick question. I am running similar set up as you and am wondering about your GoPro mount. Where can I get one that fits the alien frame correctly. What I am using now is one from La Drib on the rotor riot store. Works well but had to modify since it's not a real match for the frame. Great videos as always. Thanks for all the info you and your team provide. Very helpful for me since day one for me.

I would also add that Cody is an incredible designer too! Is this the 60" or 79" slick? I wouldn't put it past Cody to fly a 50cc plane in such a comparatively tight space.

Thanks! It's the 60" Slick. It's a bit tight for a 50cc in there. It was also pretty windy. Wanna do this again with a bigger plane in some calm conditions
