Nice layout for your shop. I have a space that's about the size of a 2-car garage, but not fully dedicated to 3D printing yet. I renovated it from plywood walls & bare concrete when we bought the house & thought long & hard about floor finish. I almost went with epoxy, but then discovered Swiss-Trax flooring. I bought a combo of ventilated & solid and it took me under 3 hrs to install. The best decision I made was to buy ventilated rubber-trax for all of the areas in front of work benches & tool benches. It is SO much more comfortable to stand on. You could retrofit rubber-trax in your shop very easily, or try a "rug" section for one area. Another thing I love is that dust & plastic bits drop thru the channels. 5 years later & I have never swept the floor. I do run a vacuum every couple months. When it gets to the point that I need a deep clean, I can drag it out if the shop in big sections & clean the concrete floor. Probably a 2 hr job.

Hey! I followed this video below and just make some adjustments on the sizes. Mine are a bit bigger and have a lower bottom shelf so my printers fit. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZ-0ZmZ3nNplp7ssi=S21qJhs7osuZw8U7

Wow that’s some amazing multiboard setup! I just have one mini board on the side of my printing stand and another 4 8x8 strip for my modelling workbench. The grids take so long to print with just one printer - may look into stacking them next time I print them. I would prioritize your lighting since you already have the lights - I put in about 8 of those LED strip lights in my garage wood shop and it made a huge difference. Also if you could put in a white drop ceiling that would help brighten up the space too. But I know, all of these things take time and money!

Looks great! Hopefully you get outside for sunlight and fresh air everyday for a while for health. I guess that you need some good air ventilation down there to keep the air fresh?

Looks awesome brother! Any ideas for filament storage? My brother-in-law printed some dog bones that hold dowel rods and he hangs them with some Paracord from the floor joists in his basement so they stay up high and out of the way, super stoked for ya man

Nice shop tour, enjoyed seeing the layout. How are you managing ventilation and air quality due to the printers? I can see you have an inline system for your laser, is it coupled with a return air supply? Thanks!
@ItsMeaDMaDe6 ай бұрын
Thanks. I have a pretty heavy duty inline fan and I just have that running when I print on low and it keeps new air flow in the room. And most of my printers I use regularly are in closed and have filtration as well.
