3Day Solo Camp | Polish Lavvu | Campfire Cooking | Flint & Steel

Its been a while since I've camped in my Lavvu, I thoroughly enjoyed getting this robust canvas tent out to spend a couple of nights in a stunning, ancient woodland in the south of England.
Whilst there, I cooked some wonderful meals on the campfire and made a start on a much needed chopping board for camp to cut my vegetables.
Being alone gives me much satisfaction when camping and I seem to always get into my own mindset, suddenly finding myself jolt into the present and truly witness life for what it truly is. The woodland is silent and still but spring is starting to make an appearance, I wanted to get the message across of the silence and peace in this video hence the lack of music and small talk.

I checked out my Instagram today and was reminded that you are the same age as my niece, who was parading her first car. Wide mag alloy wheels and blacked out windows. I didn't take the p155 and nor did I coo in approval. I blame my brother for being the car nut! I am sure neither of them would mind me typing this and they know what sort of place I would rather be in! I still watch all your cooking. I didn't know you could cook sweet potatoes in the hot embers of a camp fire :)

It was amazing! Last night I slept in Thetford forest... In the tent, still love sleeping in forests inside or outside the tent! I just saw the ad at the end of this video, watched in curiosity and then laughed. It was the Yeti Trailhead folding camping chair. The main sellling point is that it can support a weight of 500 lbs. That is a quarter of a ton! The ad didn't show any really fat people demonstrating how strong it is and I don't know anyone that size. I know someone who used to be over 300 lbs until he had a surgical job on his stomach. He was almost as wide as he was tall and we used to call him the Fat Controller!

Hi, this as a nice old school GO video. It had about everything. There was the Lavvu, the snug pack, cowboy coffee, 2 kinds of fire starting, bannock and meat with sweet potatoes. There was woodworking with the tent pegs, pot hanger over the fire, and crafting the breadboard. And the relaxing bird sounds and hand tool sounds. It resembled videos I’ve seen labeled ASMR but I’m still not sure what is needed to have that label tacked on. It reminded me of the first video where a younger silent girl demonstrated the hanging of a tarp and a DD hammock. Your voice wouldn’t have detracted from either venue because it’s one of those voices that falls rather gently on the ears; but I see the need to branch out the art and avoid getting in a creative rut. So, well done.
