I’ve seen too many comments from people on other forums complaining and saying that they wished the new Album sounded like their early stuff! They are fast approaching the big 4-0, and they are not the young Sheffield scallywags that they once were and they have also been famous for almost 20 years! They can’t write those kind of songs anymore, and if they did they would come off as sad cases who can’t let go of the past. I for one really appreciate the fact that their sound has matured and changed along with them. You may not find the new stuff to your personal taste but I feel that they deserve praise for changing it up and doing what THEY want, and personally I can’t wait for the new album to drop. The first two tracks are definitely growers and I’ve always found that the songs/albums that grow on you are the ones that tend to stick around and become classics. Good luck to them, I’m really looking forward to it!
@soloscape32 жыл бұрын
Yeah I feel like people hang on too much on nostalgia, I didn't grewn up listening to their first album or FWN, I actually started listening to them because of Four out of five but yeah if they still had their old sound it would feel so repetitive and boring...few bands can continue a certain sound and still make it seem new and innovative. I think it's great they're experimenting with new genres, if you like it or not they really don't care bc they will continue doing what they want lol
