Wow. From the nights at the scream in the summer of 88 till now. From our 20's to 60's, what a long, strange trip it has been.

This is a reminder of just how great this band is. I really hope Perry gets past whatever happened at the recent show, causing the tour cancellation. These guys are too legendary to go out like that.
@vincenzollamas18 күн бұрын
the band sounds so friggin good and tight, it doesn't matter if Perry's voice isn't what it used to be, he can adapt and make it work as long as his ego doesn't get too overblown (saying this post-incident with the glimmer of hope they could still maybe sort things out)

Sending Perry and band ❤so much ❤ Had one fantastic night in Cambridge MA at TT the Bear’s Place up close with Perry. It led to a year of great in studio experiences in Boston with various bands. Yes, when we were young. Around 1990. 🌕 perfect for my full moon night. ❤❤thank you Perry -- you sing perfectly Going to try to see you again ⚡️🌊🐻

Its a gift to witness one of the coolest bands of the late 80s early 90s. Get back together the original members. Quite an achievement considering all that happened over the years with everything.

I recall exactly where I was when I first heard Jane’s Addiction…driving to San Diego in 1988. I was hooked. Funny thing is on that trip we stayed in Pacific Beach on the jetty, and one of our friends came back from a bike ride with some chick on his handlebars. A bit later she was shooting heroin between her toes right in front of us…no joke. First and only time i saw someone do that. She disappeared the next day and left her purse. Crazy. I’m reminded of this situation every time I hear Jane Says. Oh…and on the last day in Pacific Beach, a dude ran through our house (the door was open), and he was being chased by a guy with a gun and they both ended up jumping out of the window in the back bedroom. Nuts.

Eric Avery is to Jane's Addiction just as Peter Hook is to Joy Division. It's all driving on his absolutely iconic baselines. Not to take anything away from any other band member, because they are each important and unique (Navarro will always be my favorite guitarist in general) to this band, but I feel like Avery is probably the one who is mostly responsible for the classic Jane's sound of their first three albums.
