That's a nice "Vintage Gaming PC/Home Workstation; $225 USD" as it will play last gen and previous games great, but even in modern eSports, that thing is going to buckle hard, and AAA games? C'mon, what was the seller talking about? He'd be better off pulling the card, selling it as a collectible and using the $60 he gets to put a better card for it's use case in. Beh, it still doesn't matter much though, as it will still not get him near his target price.

@crzyces16936 жыл бұрын
Right? If I'm selling RAM, or a motherboard, never mind an entire PC, I make sure it's clean as heck and packaged, with everything specced out. The last thing ppl want to see in a build is caked on dust. I clean my PC's regularly, but when one goes up for sale it turns into spring cleaning. Fans get unscrewed and popped off the heatsink, every fin is swiped with a super thin flat head after it's blasted with compressed air (a super light coating of mineral or vegetable oil is great for shine as well. Just put some on a cloth/rag, wipe the screw driver with it before your last dust sweep then get the top of the fins with the cloth and viola, shiny shine shine. It's great for the plastic on the fan blades and plastic as well. WD40 is also a must as we want those fans shiny and as quiet as possible). Then not listing the specs, or OC'ing the Xeon...(can you even OC on that board? It would most likely at least have BCLK available I would think) .No listing of the RAM speeds. The games add a little value if you don't already have them. Big problem. Most people don't use let sites for Windows, and there is no OS listed. I'd assume there is one if there are games installed, but it could be Linux for all we know. Heh, I'm mixing three of the PC's together here, and all of them when it comes to listing exact specs.

Grind some tabs and bridge 2 pins and you can put that Xeon in an old socket 775 motherboard! I did it on my home Linux server. They had them already ground and bridged from China for $12. The Core 2 Quads of that era still go high on eBay. around $50-60. I wasn’t paying that for a 10 year old CPU!

in my area, you can't really sell any used PC for more than about $500, and even that would need to be a pretty good deal. The last time I sold a full system was ~ January 2016, basically it was an i7 2600k under a Noctua NH-D15, Asus Maximus IV Extreme Z, 16gb 2133mhz G.skill DDR3, EVGA GTX 980 SC, 256gb Corsair Force GT SATA SSD, 2tb Seagate 5400rpm HDD, Corsair HX1050 (1050w), and a Lite-On 12x BD-R drive in an Antec Twelve-Hundred V3 case. I got $500 for that 3 years ago. The card alone was probably worth nearly that much.

i had the same CPU cooler as you but the dual fan version and from day 1 could never get it to work even when setting the voltage to the pump through Bios. Couldnt get into contact with the company for 2 week and when I did they spoke gibberish and had no idea what English even was. Then to top it off while sitting in the computer waiting for a replacement cooler it decided to leak onto the motherboard killing that to. And all the while not a single person would help me.

Last dude threw it in a Dell Precision T3600 lol, I throw those PC's away at my job almost every day. There's a bunch of parts missing from the case itself as well.

one thing that could increase the value of a pc is the contents of the hard drive both real and deleted. if you get your self some basic forensics software something to clone a drive to iso image and recover deleted files you could find some juicy files as as many sellers may not take the time to properly wipe the drive. so you could find that he ripped his cds or downloaded mp3s or even stored a credit card or 2 on the drive. so some of that could make the pc worth more

9:41 is either a Dell T3500 or T5500 series precision desktop. I know this because I run a T7500 myself with a xeon x5690, 48GB ecc ddr3, RX 580 8gb and ssd's/hdd's (cinebench tells me its as good as a Ryzen 3 or 5 LOL). The E5520 is like $3.50 on eBay right now and very slow (I have one in my closet lol). So that last rig IMHO is sub $200~ at the very least. $150~ on the low end.

Man I have bunch of pristine condition Pc-Components that I've accumulated over the last 5-years of building & upgrading my build and peripherals. From used 8700K, 1080Ti(Ftw3), Corsair570X-Chasis, Aio's, to smalls like Ram Corsair M.2(mp500) Etc. but the only place I know of to sell them Is Craigslist' but am skeptical dealing with false buyers, scammers...Are there other ligitiment website where you can sell PC-Parts?

at lease the 580 was top of the line in late 2010. For around $800, I was able to build me a PC with an Intel Core i7-4770k cpu, 16 gb ddr3 2400 mhz ram, a PNY Nvidia gtx1080, and a 250 gb samsung 860 evo ssd with a 3 tb hard drive. But for the performance of the fx4100, I would rather have a Core 2 Quad from early 2007.

This is why I stopped rebuilding the LGA 775 I'm putting them on Craigslist because to me they're just not worth it anymore and anybody with any computer knowledge would know not to buy it.

Pretty sure the case is a haf 912 on the second listing. I actually had the case on my first PC and it was pretty good for airflow pcs and still holds up. Zero radiator support but not a bad case.

I agree with the pricin being way too high however you can game on a xeon cpu i built my buddy one paired with a 970 an he gets well above 60fps in alot of the titles mentioned with no issues at all they can also be overclocked xeon chips are great for those with not alot of money an want to game at 1080p with good gps med-high settings

Hey, that first computer you have there for $800 well just letting you know that the GTX 580 never came with 2 GB VRAM. It only had 1.5 GB and some had 3 GB VRAM, I had the latter.

I mean...that last Xeon build was quite horridly priced. But what got my OCD going about that build is the absolute most random thing ever. Was the CPU cooler missing the fan that usually goes in front of the heatsink by any chance? :D
@raduque6 жыл бұрын
It's an Intel BTX form factor, iirc the CPU fan was built into a shroud that runs the length of the case to isolate the CPU cooling. They probably removed it for the pics
