Nice. I just ordered components for loads like these. Gas seals, fiber wads,etc.........Most of my stuff is from Lymans manual. They have different component listings

3.5” #4 is like a Swiss Army knife, it’s a tool of many uses. I mean hunting game, livestock over watch, and an extremely bad time for the things that go bump in the night. Claymore is probably the best title for it

That first round, I bet you could make it fit in a 2-3/4" hull if you roll crimp it, and perhaps take some of that filler wad out.

I stay out near chesterfield. just got a Mossberg 835 3.5 chamber. I've had a 500 when I was younger. never really understood everything involved with shotguns, but I've gotten a resent interest in them. got a lot to learn, any advice for a green horn shotgunner? Big difference between shotguns and rifles. I can take a deer out past 500yds with a rifle if I had to, but shotguns you gotta be alot closer. I'm liking the challenge... I'll definitely be watching!! maybe you could direct me on where to start for a virgin shotgunner. ps awesome channel keep it up

It’s more like an archery hunt. But you can add a rifled barrel and shoot sabot slugs out a pretty good range. 200-250m isn’t unheard of

Holy Moley! pretty sure 10ga 3 1/2" buck shot loads were historically known as grape shot or canister shot, and required a crew to run the gun!

How effective is #4 vs 00?

Depends greatly on the application. #4 is great for varmints (both 2 legged and 4 legged) and is very effective on big game like deer! But , #00 works well with all the above plus is big enough to be effective with bigger game like bear and boar 🐗
