that 24 inch FUNK audio sub will basically vibrate the wires of his pacemaker apart! FUNK audio is a Canadian company in British Columbia. started as a 1 man operation Nathan Funk, and he and a few others still build everything by hand, guaranteed to be some of the best subwoofers in the world.

Loved your last person's setup - have a very warm place in my heart for laser disks - I started my HT using LD's. Was surprised to not see a LD player in his AV equipment. 3rd person's setup seemed way over powered by so many subwoofers. I feel sorry for his neighbors. Also, huge kudo's to Twoguyztech for use of the Vandersteen speakers - so nice to see a HT setup w/something other than Klipsch speakers.

Thank you very much for watching! In out first Home Theater, we had a Pioneer CLD-3080 LaserDisc player. Unfortunately, we don't have it anymore, but we still have some of our old LDs lying around. Yeah, you don't see the Vandersteens much in Home Theaters, but we absolutely love them. Thanks again! 😀
@LS-ti6jo4 жыл бұрын
@@TwoGuyzTech I have a big stack of LD's I haven't played in years, including the Star Wars & Alien boxed sets. I pulled my old Pioneer CLD79 and DVL91 (Pioneer's LD/DVD combo player) out of storage recently and had them refreshed with new belts, etc. Once I find a couple of decent, reasonably priced converters to convert the composite & SVHS video to HDMI signals, I will put those players in my system and start watching my LD's. The first room of Jason's has amazing interconnection design and is well thought out. The 24 port patch panel had to be a small fortune with all those custom wires and connectors. On the downside I didn't see any sound absorbers etc on the walls and the room echos while Jason talked in the video. But still an amazing theater room.

We spent a lot of time wiring the entire house with cat6 cabling for whole home networking, even though at the moment we don’t use all of it. The patch panels make things very convenient. My opinion a prosseessor is so good if you are using external amplifiers to boost your sounds. But if you are using a reciver then you should trust brands like marantz for example and go with the lfe without using the preouts.

@@BuildMontage In 2005 I started my home theater with a 46 inch LCD tv and 5.1 set up. I used a player with analog outs and the a separate amplifier boosting a pair of speakers. But after I started using powerful av receivers from brands like marantz I feel the lfe output actually delivers the perfect balanced sound and for me in my 22 ft long 15 width and 18 feet height ceiling I get enough power to run my towers. Except the Atmos speakers all my speakers are between 12 to 15 inch towers. So i dont want to do it the manual way again

BM's beard reminds me of BadSeedTech so much. 😅 Oooh! Make that collab happen! 🤔🤞🙏 (Yeah, I know, different fields of tech, but both sound guys 🤷🏻♂️)
@BuildMontage4 жыл бұрын
HAHA! Actually I'm far more skilled on the tech side (my channel was supposed to be gaming PC builds!) but I ended up going down the Home Theater path. BadSeedTech is a LEGEND! My beard is a little more wild though - his is very manicured :D

@@BuildMontage That's really awesome to know! And as a budding audioholic, I fully admire your conviction to your craft. 👍 Haha, yeah, gotta love Brian. His reviews always touch the details that I'm wanting out of reviewers, so gotta give him props! And the epic beard adds clout in my eyes. 😅 Glad I found your channel... I look forward to watching more from you and seeing your channel grow further. ✌️

Thanks your videos are helping me a lot in planning my home theatre room. Can I please request you to share the prices ( a ball park figure) of each setup, only the equipment. Cheers.

I can't share that as it's a private matter for each of the room tour owners.

It surprised me how may of these cool theatres don't have acoustic treatment. Massive amounts of money spent on the producing of sound but no way of making sure it doesn't crash and reflect off all the walls essentially ruining the sound.

Mark I’m pretty sure 3/4 had acoustic treatment. Twoguyztech made their own ad did My Home Theater.

@@BuildMontage speakers are ugly and not visually interesting. Their quality derives from their audio. Most houses have to much visually going on anyway.

Maybe I will send you a video of my setup. 144” screen and upgrading soon to a 25’ or 300” screen, auro-3D, ATMOS, Dolby Digital, IMAX sound running 25 channels in the auro-3D configuration, video capability of 8K (be happy when more is out for that), but most of the collection of movies is blu-ray and 4K. Everything is top of the line for the ultimate in theater viewing. Zipitti video system running the 8 drive setup with 8x18TB or 144 TB of storage and the 4K pro running 2x16TB or 32TB more storage and red carpet cinema for the movie you jut cannot want for the home release, yah I have lots of news friends after I built this system. I think I have just about every movie made except the old stuff I would not play on a old crt monitor, even with all the latest in video processing they still look like crap. D-Box Heated and cooler setting, usb charging ports, lit cup holders that are also cooled if wanted to keep your drink cold and the ice from melting. Yep spared no expense (Jurassic Park fans will get that one). For as long as I could remember I wanted my own theater, many times thought of opening one for the public but not giving up over 90% of the ticket sales and still having to pay the rent on the movie, sorry but no thanks.

You make good videos, I don’t understand why you change your pronunciation & use foreign terms. In Australia we go to the cinema to watch movies, I have a home cinema & I go to the theatre to listen to live music or watch the ballet. Metric system is much more accurate too, if I went to Bunnings & asked for a length of “alu-moon-im ”, I’d sound like a fool. You’re a top bloke & speaking more like an Ozzy will get you more subscribers.

Thanks mate, I’ve had to change a few things because my primary audience (over 70%) is USA and when I speak ‘Strayan, they have no idea what I’m saying. Then I have to spend my time in the comments section responding to the same question. I know where you’re coming from though.
