Bam! Love it. Thank you Daniel. I'm trying to target people who enjoy the outdoors, which arguably could be both wellness and minimalist categories. Thank you for helping to reframe my thinking. Keep up the great work.

I started with the couples niche. Have yet to make my first sale, but I am hopeful. Custom couple gifts is what I am focusing on as well as some niche gift ideas. Like space nerd shirts that a GF would buy her BF or husband, etc. Might be a bit saturated, but got to try!

Hi Daniel, I love your marketing approach to an Etsy store. I have listened to many KZbin videos and what others have suggested to grow an Etsy store. I find myself with several different niche areas that I haven't got around to filling out. So now, I create at least four designs to make a row to test if a topic will get attention. I wondered if you could do a video on organising our stores from what you think is best. Could you show us what works from other stores without showing the store's name? That would be helpful. Most of the time, I work to develop a collection, such as my recent one of Valentine's, where I had 28 products, almost a page. Some pages of my store look like an op shop with many design colours and designs that don't go together. Or does this even matter on Etsy? Thank you for this video. 🙂

Hi there, thanks for your kind words! I think your approach is interesting and can work. A video on store organisation is a great idea, I'll add that to my list of future projects :D I think the main thing to keep in mind is that you want to focus on creating a cohesive look across your store, regardless of what niche you're focusing on. So using similar style photos and mockups, etc. I think this helps your store look more professional and less like a jumble sale :-)

Hi Daniel, thanks for the videos. Can I ask please how do you plan on coping with the VAT once you hit 85k per tax year? If the profit margins are 25 to 30 percent does that mean it’ll reduce to 5 to 10 percent? Or will you put up your prices? Thanks so much!
@jacinta27077 ай бұрын
Any extra taxes for a country I add to the shipping cost, because my prices are set us for the US but I sell all over the world and I don't want the US price to be higher. 🙂

Hi there! Thanks for watching :-) Great question. I plan on raising my prices, but only minimally to absorb some of the new VAT expenses I will be required to pay. This means that my prices will only go up by a bit, but in return it will take a slight hit on my bottom line. I think something to keep in mind is that Etsy isn't a platform where you always need to compete on lowest prices. Customers are often less price sensitive when it comes to buying gifts (a key market for Etsy), so I personally don't get in my own head about raising prices slightly :-) There's a lot to pricing though - I'm going to be doing a video around Pricing in regard to VAT soon!

Hello! How do you find doing POD in the UK? All the big KZbinrs are USA and I just don’t think it works as well here
@EtsyDaniel7 ай бұрын
Hi Rachel! The Etsy market is definitely a lot larger in the US than in the UK, but the UK actually has the 2nd biggest market of customers globally, so I think there is still potential. With that being said, I actually still primarily focus my efforts on US customers, but that is because my target customer group is mainly in the US and not Europe. In terms of POD and pricing, I know that VAT can cause headaches and eat into profit margins. I'll be doing a video around this soon :-) Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Daniel thank you so much! Do you ever do shop critiques? Do let me know as I’d be interested in a UK seller and also how you target the US successfully, especially re postage! Thank you

No problem! I'm going to start offering shop critiques very soon, so watch this space :D I'm actually also in the process of creating video specifically on best practices around selling to the US from abroad - it should be out soon! Have a great evening!
