Thanks. I injured one of these adductor muscles while pushing it with lots of weight (and perhaps not 100% correct form) on the leg press machine (of all places). Excruciating and immediate pain felt, still did 2 more reps like a fool. Couldn't even walk/sit in the following weeks. Now, it's been almost a year later!!!, and while I'm much better and gaining back strength, I can still feel LOTS of pain under certain movements (when sitting crossed legged for example). I will try these exercises (and also stop stretching) and see if the pain finally goes away. I will comment again after some time if it does.

I will give this a shot for my si joint dysfunction. I know psoas, groin, rectus femoris are all affected. I've been getting shockwave treatment and it's been helping. Combinef with breathing exercises and walking every day, by psoas isnt as tender or painful. It's slowly getting there. Without something like shockwave, I'd be doing exercises until next century. Anything, any regeneration modality that can put me in cheat mode and cut the injury time down, I'll take it every time.

For the first video, I know that Coach E used the wrong exercise. I like it though as it eases the groin ache. When scouring (13:24), what position should the pelvis be in? I am tending to get a bit of anterior tilt which dips the low back a bit. At least it feels that way. Maybe when scouring, I am moving the hips a bit too far out? It sure feels good to my groin though.

Hi there! Thank you so much, going to try these. I am a tennis player and the pain is not terribly acute but my front hip flexor/grown is a recurring issue, sometimes the outer hip and the outer knee as well. From my experiments it seems that the other symptoms all step from the hip. (ex. if I release the TFL with a little ball, it will relieve all of the knee tension). My question is: when working on rehabing these muscles so my hip functions better, how long do you recommend stopping activity (in this case tennis)? Should I stop until there is truly no discomfort? With a more chronic and less acute issue, it's hard for us very active folks to know what to do! Thanks so much.

Can I do those same exercises without using the stretch band? My orthopedic doctor said not to put resistance on my hip. I have all of the symptoms you are talking about and was told to stretch, which hasn't helped. I now know why after watching your video about the groin and psoas issues.

Achieved this kind of pain by running, not with the worst technique mind you... (after a long break from sport activities, starting jogging in my mid 30's, 5 years ago ) During the lockdowns i speculated my sedentarism kept it alive (bad desk chair), in the context of my glutes (and who know how many others) losing a lot of mass; used to predictably go away by taking longer walks. Few months ago, i decided to try to make it go away with weighted squatting (and mindful, quite reserved stretching, nothing close to what i used to do when less aware.. sometimes i stretch even when not exercising). Now, i keep going at it few times per week, until this video that pain basically slipped out of my mind. Glad to see more techniques to try if the pain comes back, thank you.

Just the posterior hip mobility alone has lowered my pain from 8 to a 2. And I have been having groin pain since 2020 with no relief. I can't believe something so simple such as a band did it. Thank you so much. After doing the posterior hip mobility though i did experience a left SI joint pain after. Is there any reason for that? What exercise can I do for that?

@Precision Movement I did and i can feel improvements in just 3 days! I now know my sacrotuberous ligament is probably causing me an issue too. My sit bone rocks over a ligament when I go from supine to sat up with legs bent. Would this make sense please? 🤔 Love your work guys, thank you! 🙏

Phew I’m glad that first exercise is a no go. I’d be in traction in the hospital trying to do it. The other exercises are good but you better have good balance to do them. Especially the last exercise.

Hello, I have had thigh numbness and pain since June. In June, I played a football match with my friends, but the day before, I had been doing some exercises, so my thigh area was already sore. When I went to play football, I shot the ball hard without warming up, and I felt instant, intense pain in my thigh and groin area. Since then, I have done some exercises and applied ice for several days, but now, after three months, I still have pain in the area even without doing anything. Which of the exercises that you suggested do you think could help in my case? Thanks.

Just wanted to thank you guys for making this great video. I noticed quick improvements to a point where I feel comfortable returning to play tennis. However I have nasty pain where my rec abdominis inserts in the groin area. I did not find a video that covers this type of injury well on KZbin. Any recommendations?

My hip pain in the groin came on in one afternoon whilst shopping. That was 5wks ago. I am nearly 52, on HRT and really worried incase it's arthritis or hip impingement. I'm seeing my doctor next Wednesday. I have been resting, taking ibuprofen, rubbing it in and gently exercising it. I previously had DVT and pulmonary embolism and are on blood thinners for life.

Ok. Gonna try this. The tightness from my back to the groin extends like a tight rubber band down my inner thigh. So painful to walk when it's irritated..
@traceystock7352 Жыл бұрын
I have everything that Dr B mentions and mounting a bike is really impossible now - I have to lay the bike down to step over it. This all came on over the course of two years. Pushing off walking, lateral movements hurt. After a long walk I even get a slightly perceptible swelling down in lower part of pelvic region that dies down after a while - it does not reproduce in any way similar to an inguinal hernia though. I have taken an NSAID a few times and got a little relief. It does not hurt to do leg presses or leg curls. Cycling itself does not hurt. Mounting bikes does. So it's abduction that hurts, not adduction. I hope I can find some relief. The pain is about 4 on a scale of 1 to 10 but it's the not knowing that is worst. I am a male Tracey by the way so I also wonder if it is some sort of cancer because I can also have a little burning when urinating at times. .

Do you have another video showing how to do all the exercises at home without a band, or, which band to buy and how to use it at home?
@PrecisionMovementCoach5 ай бұрын
Hi and thanks for asking. The exericses work without the band or you can use a pair of stretchy pants or similar. You can buy the band online or at a fitness equipment store. Many other stores now have fitness equipment, even drugstores. Check there too. You can tie your band off against any sturdy object or get a door anchor. Let us know if that helps or if you have any more questions :) - Coach Joshua, Team PM
