DEBO'S Fishing

Күн бұрын

Today we're talking about 4 lures that I think YOU should try BEFORE summer fishing is over! I'll discuss each lure, why I chose it, and the setup I fish it on! Fall is almost here and that means it's time to change some of those summer tactics. However, there is still time to get bites on a few great lures before that full fall patterns sets in.
COMMENT BELOW and let me know what type of tackle talk you want NEXT!

Well, I am the one who has to thank you, this morning there was a storm warning in Miami so I decided to watch your video. I had a white toad stored and I decided to take it out, with tremendous rain I went out and in 15 minutes I caught a 6.5 pound Peacock Bass and 5 minutes later a 2.5 pound LMB. That was awsome. Came back home soak and wet but freaking happy.

Hey, Debo's. Been fishing on my own here lately. Buzzbaits and Whopper Ploppers are the lure of choice. The frog not so much. Say, That frog is cool ! Do you have trouble with grass getting hung up in the twirling tail. Like the Whopper Ploppers. Then the tail is useless. Do you still keep using the frog part and catch bass. Like using a Chartreuse Rooster Tail. It's still a bass producer. B. LAT says to take the skirt off your Chatterbait and add a paddle or swim bait as a trailer. When the bass start feeding again. The Willow double bladed Spinnerbait in White and Chartreuse is a bass killer too. But the best of all.The Blue or Black and chrome Rattle Traps 3/4 oz. Slow cranking on a 6 to1 baitcaster REEL. Hope this helps you and your viewers out. Keep up the great video's. From Indy. Shawn.

Here in GA the weather has been all over the place if you are getting skunked take a day or two. Take your polls but mostly just watch the water at different spots (especially on a big lake) look for blowups near shore once you see that "match the hatch" toss in a reaction bait you WILL get a bite.

Totally in the same boat- always losing chatterbaits, they work but get stuck more in all the gnarly stuff here in the Midwest. Been using the Z-Man custom since I heard about them on this channel- big THANK YOU! here. Love the better keeper than on the original chatterbait and the shorter shank hook. Works even better with the Berkley The Deal swimbait than on the original. Pretty much have always used The Deal as my chatterbait trailer of choice- like you mention, adds just a bit more movement that complements the vibration of the chatterbait. Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping it real for us regular folk.

Great vid! Always enjoy your informative posts. Manage to learn something every time. One of my favorite fall transition baits are the old school jointed Rapalas. 3 1/2 and 5 inch in original or perch/blugillish colors. Twitch ‘em (you can sort of walk them). Reel at different speeds and they’re similar to a wake bait. If the fish are aggressive I reel really fast making them dive to about a foot and a half then stop and let the lure float to the surface. Rinse and repeat. Caught a lot of both largemouth and smallmouth over the years on those baits.

That Incredifrog didn't skip leg day! The chatterbait custom is -absolutely- best bang for the buck, I won't order anything but those. I used the chatterbait a lot last fall, but I also used swim jigs pretty successfully in the really thick areas. I'd even throw it on straight braid, and I rarely lost a fish! If you're not fishing around a lot of thick weeds, I'd say give the ol' Mepps Aglia Long a try, it'll catch damn near anything in the 3 size, and some seriously larger stuff in the 4 size. Nearing 100 subs on my fishing channel myself, you're killin it dude!

Chatterbait has been my go-to all summer but especially with that front we had come through this week. I’m still using the original, I lose them on wood all the time so I haven’t convinced myself to step up to the more expensive ones. I like to use the bluegill pattern with a Rage Menace in Candy Craw, and I use a 6.1:1 ratio reel. On days like we’ve had this week when it’s rainy and in the 50s the bass seem to want a slow presentation.

One of my absolute fav lures to throw is the chatterbait. I like that powebait , the deal. Never saw that before. Heading to Cabellas today. Will see if I can find a pack or two to change it up over the paddle tails I usually use. They get hung up a lot (the paddle tails). I’ll put them on upside down and it usually avoids hooking itself that way (thanks Roland Martin for that tip)! But that deal def caught my eye. Thanks for that tip! I’ve never ordered tackle online besides some random stuff on amazon, which is mostly terminal tackle. Will see if I can find reaction innovations today at cabellas. Not sure if they carry it... Hey one more thing - I like when u give out prices like that Lew’s speed stick u have been using a lot this summer for $79. Keep doing that if u can. I’m a budget fishermen so hearing some of these prices (again like that Lew’s stick u been raving about), gets my mind going. My most expensive rod is like $60 and most expensive reel is around $50. Yep. I’m a cheap bastard! So hearing pricing from guys like u helps me consider different gear. Anyway - I’ve rambled long enough. Thanks for all the info Debo!

I like the Zman Razor Shadz for a bladed jig trailer, I prefer something that doesn't have a lot of action to work against the blade, the elaztech is ridiculously durable, and they have great color options, just remember to remove the razor shadz from the hook before storage if it goes in a box with other kinds of soft plastics, we won't worry about why I know that...

Great choices. I’ll run through them before too long. Tip on the o rings, hardware stores sell them much cheaper if you are ever in one to pick some up. Certainly won’t save a ton, but it helps.

Thanks for the video. I went from catching fish everday in the heat and then in a matter of a week was getting skunked. The night temps dropped out of nowhere. Could see fish but they would pass by anything. After watching I walked out and noticed 100's of small shad backed into this shallow pocket. Problem fixed.

Hey Debo, I'm from Cali and where I fish I've always used a rattle trap type lure because I seemed to always get a lot of bites and fish on it. Now as fall is approaching there recently has been a lot of vegetation being clumped up, floating in areas around the pond. I keep getting a bunch of it on my lure all the time, and I don't see to be getting as many bites as I used to before. I used to get at least two fish everytime I went but now if I'm lucky I get only 1. So I'm thinking of switching to a texas ring senko
