My grandpa is 93 and has dementia and parkinsons. Some of your videos are for people who are more advanced in their disease than grandpa is. But i am still watching them so that i can know what to do in the future

My 94 year old mother has stage 5 Alzheimers and has lived on her own for 32 years since dad died. Mother has now reached the point where she is housebound and yet still refuses to admit that she needs help. She has carers twice a day, 6 days a week for medication and meal assistance. Mother is incontinent and refuses to wear appropriate underwear. She is deaf and refuses to wear hearing aids in her bungalow. She has osteoarthritis in her knee and refuses to use a walking stick. All attempts at speaking to her about these issues, and many more, are met with aggression and strong denial. Mother is becoming intolerable and insufferable. Yet she continues with her defiant and wilful attitude, making her impossible to deal with on a daily basis.

My mother is now in a Care Home after being hospitalised after a fall outside her home in June which severely compromised her mobility. She still wishes to go back to her bungalow but we tell her she is in the best place for her health and safety. Mother is visited by all members of her family throughout the week. She knows she is loved and cared for. Mother always has been, despite her attitude.

Wow, she sounds like my mom!! My mom is just so angry and nasty. I keep reminding myself it's just her disease.
