New here - Came to learn about the low light stuff. I shoot in low light rooms for HiFi .. so these techniques are somewhat helpful. It won't be raining inside .. but I use gloss surfaces and reflective gear like you mention for puddles. Great production on your videos .. the ambient sounds are great. Thank you.

What focal lengths do you enjoy shooting with at night ? I certainly like the suggestion of one camera and one lens. Usually I don’t take a long lens out for daytime street work (mostly 28,35,50). But the idea of shooting into restaurants got me thinking about a 135mm at night.

This showed up in my recommended videos, and I’m glad that happened! I’ve been making photographs for 63 years, and have never tried night photography other than telephoto shots of the moon, or mountain silhouettes. I too currently use a Fujifilm X-T5. What do you use for white balance? I use auto for daylight and existing light images, but with all the randomness of colors at night, I’m not sure how that would work. Thank!
@erenjamАй бұрын
Huge thanks Steve and Deb! So I usually shoot in Raw then correct the White Balance in Post, but if I do shoot JPEG, I usually let the camera set the White Balance as I'd need to change it constantly with all the different sources of Light at night.
@Steve_and_Deb_Explore_the_USAАй бұрын
@@erenjamThanks! I shoot in raw and jpg, but mostly fiddle with images in Apple’s photo app. I have Capture 1, but have yet to learn it well enough.
