In the first 2 minutes of this video, Luke did 28 camera transition shots. Shout out to his dedication for replacing that camera just for 1 second B roll shots. I'm sure some of them in the truck are stock shots edited in. But probably not. Luke you are one amazing cinematographer to to through all that to ensure the perfect in frame shot. Always steady, always good sound, always edited crisp and clean.

We were in the kitchen, close to supper time. My grandson, Gabriel, eighteen months old, in a droopy diaper, no shirt, barefooted, is plodding upstairs, literally just to one side of the kitchen. “Gabe, where you going?” He said, “I just need some peace and quiet”. All guys, sometimes, just need some peace and quiet. Kentucky

There is a Korean family who goes "glamping" a lot (RYU Camp). I love them....They practically bring along an entire house. The camping spots are almost like spas. They have toilet, laundry, and in some cases, shower facilities. They also camp on ready-made platforms. A viewer asked why and the response was because the public demands it....And yes, incredible meals...Amazing to watch, but they rarely discuss the equipment they use.

Hello Luke! These Japanese campers that you are referring to have come through my feed, and you are correct. They do it in such style, just amazing. The food is certainly not what we are used to. I do love a good rain in the NC mountains and the smell of the wet woods calms me. Winter storm warning for you as I watch this. I grew up camping in canvas tents, yes I am old (er) and the new lighter materials are great. Rule #1 while sleeping in a canvas tent during a rain, Do not, I mean do not, no matter how tempting it seems, reach up and tough the canvas. You will have a constant drip right where you touched and that is usually right above your head. Thanks for bringing me along to relive the sounds of the rain in the trees and imagining the smells. The sounds of the crows in the morning stirs memories. I love that the skeeters are not a problem there. Every time I come out that way in the summer I always think that at home I would have been carried away and donated all my blood by sundown. To address your hatchet usage, Your stump was at knee level which is ideal for hatchet use. Plus, if it is at your knee level. it's the same as if you were kneeling. Before people comment on something you are doing, they need to do it themselves and not glean all their info from youtube. Such as anything you do, I would not comment on it unless I had actually done it myself. Mmmmm, Cowboy coffee! Little cool water to calm down the grounds and enjoy. Stay safe and God bless.

Luke. We used to go backpacking (many section hikes on the AT and other places) or, we went "Cadillac Camping". Cadillac Camping is what we called car camping. We would take everything, pour out of the car, walk 10 feet and set up. We (2-3 families) would put up 8-10 person tents near Lake Lanier or Lake Hartwell in Georgia and just eat and play cards. We would set up like 3 or 4 huge tarps and we could walk from one tent to another and the cooking area and never get wet. I'm 64 now and more likely to do a combination of the two. I go out usually alone and set up a base camp with more minimal gear and then take some hikes and explore an area. Have not backpacked in years now, though I may some time. Will see.
@lindawilson46252 жыл бұрын
I've seen those Japanese camping trips you talked about. They would use that big open tent by putting a van with the side slide doors open at each end using the van as the sleeping/private quarters with the center of the tent for the communal cooking, etc. Laying down rugs in the center just like you mentioned. A different style of camping than most of us do, but they seem to have fun. Elaborate, but not fussy. Kind of a reconnection to friends and family with a spiritual vibe. Love your beautiful Wolf Mountain :-)
