Leighton Flowers had a whole conversation with Corey on this, on Ephesians 1. Corey just doesn't want to learn, when exegeting this is pretty clear. Those who are IN Christ, are predestined to be holy and blameless. The holy and blameless is the focus here as the qualifying statement. Verse 1 shows Paul is talking to the Saints at Ephesus. Verse 13 explains how one is saved. Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Literally everything right there for you to understand, plain as day. Calvinists have reading comprehension problems.

Corey, please can you look at my suggestion: 1. If you know roughly how long your program will be, then divide the time so guests will know exactly how long they have ie: 15mins each etc, because the first guy took up a lot your time and others did not get the same amount of time to speak. 2. Also say to the guys beforehand if possible, that they are not there to talk about their mothers, fathers and all thats in the kitchen sink. They should be prepared to get straight to the point with scriptures etc. This will also make them get a good session with the time they have.

The "To Be" your reading into text is not there and should not be added as makes a big impact on how you understand the verse similar how antitrinitarian add "a" to John 1 v1. the before the foundation of the world just describes when Gods plan of Salvation was created for those in Christ. I think the "us" and "we" of verses 4 to 12 represent a group of people (where Paul is also included) that are different than the "you" group of people in verse 13. This would mean God has His chosen pawns and then He has the rest who come as a result of hearing and believing the Gospel. One could say that even there God does something to have that person in a state where he is ready to receive the Gospel, but I really think we are dealing with 2 different groups here. And if Paul was part of the chosen pawns, none of us today are part of that. We are all the "you" group. Well maybe there is some pawns out there - but we don't know who.

There are many chapters/scriptures as when reading will end abruptly because they are independent. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (independent statement). The end of that statement. Verse 2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. My point is that Ephesians 1:4 & 5 are independent.

You might not find anything because they didn't have these views back then. Remember to read and study in context, context, context. These views have a beginning, go back. Can someone teach Corey basic English skills. In verses 4 through to 12 the Apostle uses first person plural pronouns. From verse 13 he uses second person plural pronouns. This is a writing style. Verses 4 to 12 refers to Paul's Jewishness and from verse 13 he is addressing the Gentiles. The Jews are predestined for a purpose, ie bring Christ into the world to be the final sacrifice. If salvation is by predestination Christ died for NOTHING. The Apostle has different writing styles that can very easily confuse the unskilled. 2 Peter 3:14-16. Hope Corey can understand that no-one is saved except by Faith in Christ. 1 Tim 2:12-15 is one such example. Do women get saved through child birth?
