I got chucked out of my dancing class because I wasn't improving. And don't misunderstand, I hold myself responsible for that, but I guess sometimes criticism isn't so innocent after all since it can lead to frustration and rejection (in this case not mine but my teacher's). Like everything in life it's a gamble and no one person truly knows which direction things might develop towards.

A thing that I used to do when I first started dancing, was look for a cute coreo, and delete some dance moves until I felt like the coreo was something I could do. In a month or so of practice, came back to the coreo and add a few steps, or change them all, but make them a little bit harder. It really help me to cordinate myself and the tempos. I used to dance upgrade U, it got a lot of energy, and there are some good coreos for it. (Not native speaker, sorry)

even though the blood that contains oxygen is called arterial blood and that most veins carry blood that contain little oxygen, there is actually the pulmonary vein which transports oxygen-rich blood back to the heart
@sanjanasriv5 жыл бұрын
MJ FB I know that, but the pulmonary vein is an exception. The only reason it’s even called a vein is cuz the blood flows towards the heart and they wanted that to be the defining characteristic of veins. Also, I know veins contain an amount of oxygen, but it’s lower than arteries and it should preferably not be there. So people consider that oxygen flows in the arteries and that arteries contain oxygenated blood.

What I learned: (seriously) Dancing is not just about having fun. It's also a way of telling how you feel, in other words it's a way of expressing yourselves through dancing and a way of telling a story. Dancing is also about giving emotions to your story, which makes it even more alive. If your expressing a dance all by yourself then you have to make sure that your moves are properly executed that way the viewers will understand how your feeling in your own perspective, and if your expressing a story with people. Make sure that the formation is simple but powerful at the same time by giving it life that way the viewers can understand the message behind the dance. This is why I love dancing even though I suck and my moves are stiff too but I don't care as long as I can be happy

I also recommend recording yourself while practicing since we can’t see every movement we make while dancing. When you record yourself and watch the video afterwards you can see if you lack energy/if your facial expressions aren’t good/if your moves aren’t sharp/if your moves are to stiff and more! One day I was at my school and there was school thing or something and we students who wanted to perform we could choose to dance or sing or do something to perform to school and I chose to dance because I wanted to so we had some weeks to practice at home and one day we had to perform what we were gonna do and when it was my turn to show what I was gonna do I danced and then I was finished...my teacher said that I couldn’t dance... but the thing is that the kids were nice to me afterwards and they just stared at me when I was dancing without making any sound and they didn’t even laughed at me and the words that my teacher said hurt me a lot because dancing is like my identity and when that happened I stopped dancing ...

Teachers can be assholes. My gym teacher once kicked me out for marking off a girl for her pacer and her pushups, she also got kicked out. I wasn't there when we did the pacer and I get it, something had to be done, but to kick us out of the class for the entire time was a bit far. I also remember that she gave us a lecture, which I think should've been the better option. Mind you that everyone hated her. As a dancer I can agree with almost every statement on this list and they are all really important. But there is one I can think of and that's finding your own groove. Especially In freestyle this could make you stand out from others as it's your own unique way to move. To help develop this in class i usually the the choreo as clean as i can then add my own "flavour" to it. However dont always use it it depends on what the teacher or the choreographer wants at that time.

As a dancer myself who figured all this out a year ago after several years of "dancing," I have to tell every person who's frustrated that it's true. Breathe, feel the music and be confident. It shows. And no, people are not gonna stare at you and make fun of you in dance class if you're "bad." I absolutely needed this; I've been meaning to diversify my dancing from Waacking and Voguing and other feminine/graceful movements so I began looking into hip-hop choreography.

Another thing to add to the stiff tip -- if you're not breathing, you can stiffen up your neck/back/shoulder without knowing making you stiffer. And while some choreos can require you to stiffen up your body, there's a difference in purposely stiffening up your neck and not. So it's good to breathe and really relax your body and get into the dance.

I really hate when me or anyone i know post a video and we ask people where should we improve because we want the criticism to improve and people just go like "NOTHING, YOU'RE PERFECT, YOU CAN ALREADY DEBUT" and we (seeing each other's videos and actually knowing where to improve) just think like THAT'S NOT HELPING >>>>> AT ALL

I want to PROPERLY learn dancing. I love dancing and I started dancing when I was 10 (I'm 16 now). It's because of kpop, I started dancing not just to copy their moves but to DO the moves and how they really execute it. But Since that age, I never had this proper dance training. I just learn and do the choreography of each dance by watching a mirror version of it. I'm Confident that I Know the moves, but sometimes I'm not really confident if I'm going to show it. It feels like, as you said, I'am not really dancing. And I'm sad about that because I want to be a performer.

Ok so here's my story why can't I dance (cuz I don't have anyone to share it so imma write it here:) So when I used to dance in my childhood my mom just used to make fun of me. Once I was dancing in my cousins wedding and she was always see she can't dance she isn't flexible and stuff like that. And that stuff Is stuck in my head like since my childhood and I stopped dancing since then. Everytime I see someone dancing I just feel like I wish I could dance like that or I just don't even try to dance bcoz whenever I start to dance everything just comes to my mind and I feel like everyone will make fun of me. So I stopped dancing eventually and now I don't even move my leg when someone's dancing. Childhood memories suck sometimes. But now I'm just trying to get out of it and learn to dance and hopefully I would be wble to dance freely without worrying about anything like I used to do when I was a kid

No one will probably see this comment but Hi, I'm a generalist, which means I am or at least I consider myself to be skilled at multiple different skills(?) lmao- dance is something I've always wanted to add to my skill set but I've always been so self conscious about moving my body. Being a generalist, I've learned to link different skills that I've learned to make learning new skills easier. And the part that I love the most about it is that learning so many skills and learning how to get passed difficult days when I get stuck has helped me get through life and understand life better and it has given me a completely new perspective. It's brought me so much genuine happiness that I cannot explain. Watching steezy has really helped me get passed a lot of my mental barriers when it comes to dancing and I've found that there's so many things I can apply from dancing to enhance my other skills as well. What I love the most about steezy is that they really love what they do . Its always so inspiring to see such passionate ppl. Thanks for helping me unlock dancing and with it a new understanding to life . Luv ya

i feel like my dancing sucks because i havent been actively dancing since i was in elemtary school, (2010). and im not confident in my ability anymore. i felt stiff and uncoordinated. the breathing suggestion really helped, and ive been practicing more and more lately to get back where i was. im glad i found this channel.
